Phil Hay said yesterday on his podcast that we could still see Costa go before the window closes. In fairness he hasnt lived up to his £17m price tag, even in his first year with us and a couple if seasons on now he disappoints more than any other player. Wonder if the club are waiting to see if we can bring a new winger in and do both deals at the same time? For me I would look at them separately and get Costa out because he has added little and will continue to do so. Take a hit on his value because Summerville will give us a lot more
I’d be the same but Bielsa hasn’t given Summerville more than a sniff of action on the bench. It would be unrealistic to let Costa go before giving Summerville at least a couple of 20 minute sub appearances? Either that or he’s looking at Dallas being the cover now that he has more central options with Forshaw, Rodrigo, Roberts and Klich?
