We deserved a bit of luck, as did Gio who was excellent. Pacos improved second half and whilst we were still on top, a single goal could've still sent us out.

Happy with that, Kane getting his first goals of the season and Gil exciting the crowd. Disappointed he got taken off but hopefully that’s a sign he’ll be involved vs Watford, he’s gonna be some player.

Would’ve been nice to see Markanday get a deserved debut at some point but if he’s not loaned out before the window shuts there should be opportunities in the group stage for him.

Couple of sky digs at Jose in there, namely about there being a better energy in the squad than last season and everyone being much fitter.

He had a good game tonight. This is the sort of game where Winks is useful. Please god keep him out of the PL teams though and if we progress further in any competition I’d rather see better players in there.
