You do know that when individuals and companies put their money in a bank it's not actually kept in the till or the vault?
They invest it to make money for themselves, if they go bust you loose the lot

 

No you don't. The Government/central Bank guarantees a certain amount of money in all bank accounts in Britain. They could have raised the threshold to 100 000 per Bank account and it would have cost less than the bank bailout. Rich people would have lost a lot of money but your average working person wouldn't have. Instead it was the tax payer who bailed out the rich cùnts and dealing with the aftermath of large scale redundancies and mortgage defaults.

Nearly 15 years down the line and the gap between rich and poor is the biggest it's ever been and the cùnts who caused it are still taking home massive bonuses for selling dogshìt.

Bust time is on its way. It always is.

 

If you are talking about FSCS then it isn't as good as people think it is. I think the amount is £85k or it used to be, but the sneaky wee rascals forget to tell people that many banks share the same license. If you had £85k in the Bank of Scotland and £85k in the Halifax for example then only one of the £85k would be guaranteed.

Anyway, when you put money in the bank, legally it is not even yours anymore.

 

I don't think it was or is anywhere near 85k Iain. At the time I think it was around 30k. As I said the threshold could have been raised and it still would have been cheaper than the bailouts and if rich cùnts lost their money then bankers would have went to jail.
