The lad is being poorly advised and/or has a keen but misplaced sense of his own value. He must be praying now that someone takes a chance on his fitness. He will be lucky to get a decent move based on the last 12 months.

To be fair I believe no matter how good he is he would be better gone, even if he does accept the new contract, I don’t think his head will ever be in the right place if he thinks he’s being devalued.

Just as an afterthought from these past few games, does anyone really think he would get into the side now?

With Geads being out of form/unfit, yes.
There are a lot of us that feel that Hume is best suited to the winger/wing back role, rather than full back.

If he signs I'd still be pleased. He loves to get forward and its something extra for the oppo defence to deal with, obviously a good rotation option to have with Cirkin too. He and his agent have clearly backed themselves into a corner with all this.

Not sure about that, his final ball, whether a cross or shot often let him down. His main asset was pace and providing a foil for the likes of McGeady.

I'm wondering with a little bit of coaching do they see him as Geads replacement?

He’ll end up at Wigan with the rest of the no-marks. His lass is from that area.

He's burned his bridges now. We've signed 2 young full backs, with a 3rd possibly coming in from Arsenal. Winchester and Neil can provide backup if necessary. Club are only keeping the contract offer on the table to ensure they get compensation

He's going to regret listening to bad advice when he's turning out for Salford in January

He’ll definitely be leaving. I saw his brother on Sunderland’s Facebook taking the piss when we lost on Tuesday night, before that he was an avid fan.

It doesn’t look like someone who would be staying would be doing or allowing your brother to do.

As I have said the Hume's are probably Mag supporters.

Silly boy, he has taken a wrong turn at the wrong time imo., hes not the first of course and wont be the last, but it could be a costly mistake as far as his career is concerned, great shame as liked him as a footballer from minute one.

They’re not. His brother is Man U. He takes the piss quite often so don’t read too much into it. He doesn’t know where he’s off to, or if he is staying. He’s focussing on getting fit and letting his agent deal with it.
