Hopefully, Scott can get some game time and build some confidence, a good move.

We actually paid a million for Scott **** me
And currently GM has his hands tied behind his back over 500,000 loan.
Scott has a lot to answer for.

Do players determine their transfer fees? Scott hasn’t lived up to his transfer fee but the only people who have to answer for it are the owners and recruitment. Scott costing a million quid isn’t to blame for our owners refusing to pay back £500,000.

Scott will come good I'm sure, there has been some extremely unlucky and strong circumstances behind the scenes that really haven't helped a young young lad who's moved away from his friends and family for the first time... This move back. North should be the key to resetting all that.

And his transfer fee has absolutely zero to do with him nor have we payed anywhere close to the £1m yet

A few on Twitter saying it’s Will Grigg. Wouldn’t be the first time we fixed up a Sunderland player.

Given our budget constraints we could do worse I suppose, he's no spring chicken but he has scored a few goals over the years.

I wonder if it is Marley Watkins. Currently at Cardiff on a short term deal which runs out at the end of August, and Mick McCarthy has said he is free to go.

could be a case if it him ,of Sunderland and Grigg agreeing to cancel his contract, by all accounts Sunderland want him gone, so no fee would be involved.

You're right. It beggars belief. A young lad Greaves plus another relatively young lad in A Jones (who's best position is anyway DM). Both totally inexperienced at Championship level. With NO real back up bar 2 other young inexperienced CB's who also are pretty much totally lacking in Championship experience. It's incredible that McCann and Darnborough have allowed the club to be in such a situation. Several on here could see it as clear as daylight. Why couldn't they? Truly astounding, unfathomable, and even disturbing.

He's not the answer to any question we are asking.

He's been gash at Sunderland although his recent loan spell at MK Dons has looked better.

He's basically a League One striker by trade.

Scored 9 goals in 50 games in the Championship.
