Not long ago? It was nearly 4 years At that time Dele and Dier were still good, Jan and Toby were in their prime and we still had Eriksen. We were able to carry a few passengers back then.
Terrible player. Has been for years. Only thing that’s saved him is being an academy player who “loves Spurs”. If he were a foreign import he’d have been binned ages ago. Would struggle to get in at Norwich.
i don’t disagree with you Spurf that those mentioned are potentially legitimate replacements for those who have left. But it’s like for like and signings that cancel one another out. To me that means we’re where we were (presuming they turn out decent).
Oh I know that already, lol. I can still remember getting told off on my first day of secondary school for running down the halls because I was late… that was bloody 20 years ago!
I think we know your opinion DH You need to big him up if you want rid of him. Hello Southampton would you like to buy some utter dross. Do I have a midfield dynamo for you, a mere 10 million secures this fabulous opportunity. Dier Hard will fill you in on the details.
I didn’t call Dele or Ben Davies utter dross but in an ideal world, I’d sell them too. The others are just not fit for purpose anymore. We seen enough of them over the years to know what they bring and unfortunately it’s not enough and pretty much nothing if I’m honest.
Good point but if getting rid of them is holding back the club from making more signings then the priority should be to get rid shouldn’t it?
even being really kind, I’d also stretch as far as to say that perhaps Nuno can do something with Sanchez. Possibly. Maybe.
I’d keep Sanchez over Dier but he’s made far too many mistakes and I can’t see how he will ever fix that area of his game.
Agree. Goes back to my post a min ago about deadwood. I would have rather seen Dier initially go than Toby. The latter can still do a job. Then if we can het another replacement, Toby goes after.
Line up for next Thursday? Gollini RB? Romero, Davies, Sess Lo Celso, PEH, Dele Lucas, Dane, Bryan I think that should do it.
In fairness I was curious to see how boring your evening must be if you feel compelled to watch some other team play their reserves is a dumbass C graded European competition
Tbh Nuno was seeing what squad players could be relied upon and to get match time minutes for players. Both were useful as he has seen that Winks Doherty, CCV and Davies are never going to be first choices. He learned that if Sessegnon is to be a first choice, he needs to improve a lot and that Lo Celso is in danger of being a slimmer version of Ndombele. No of those who played could complain about not starting games tbh.
