There’s a player in there definitely but won’t be the first jock who’s come down to England and gone back with his tail between his legs

 

.. for those in the know.... who from the development squad looks like making a breakthrough into the first team anytime soon... and i'm not talking playing 10 when we're 3-0 up...

Has the Slater ship sailed? Playing with 2 defensive midfielders is killing us.

 

An inexperienced winger seems more likely.

 

None of them could play 90 minutes in the Championship at present, but the likes of Jarvis, Green, Snelgrove, Leake and Jacob have been training with the first team and are probably the most highly thought of outfield players. Harry Wood made his debut last year but there are rumours about him that are a bit troubling vis a vie his talent.

You've also got David Robson who is a very promising goalkeeper.

There's some talent coming through, but it remains to be seen if they'll be called upon at this level reliably.

EDIT: Apparently the player in question might be "involved with his club" so perhaps not. Bizarre, if he's playing for somebody else how can we be signing him permanently without paying a fee?

 

Maybe his contract is about to be terminated so that a new player can be brought in?

I thought someone said the Mayer contract was just cancelled by agreement? Don't know about Flores.
