The Whites will want to forget the mauling they received at Old Trafford last weekend, and are boosted by the return of Kalvin Phillips. The inspirational England midfielder was benched against the Reds as Bielsa decided the 25yo was not in peak condition. Junior Firpo is set to make his Elland Road league debut following his 13m transfer from Barcelona. Diego Llorente is still ruled out with a thigh injury. He is responding well to treatment and could be back in contention in a fortnights time! We know that Bielsa does not like to rotate his starting line up but with Phillips and Firpo back in action, the gaffer needs to keep faith with Cooper and Strujik in central defence or draft in German International Koch. Stuart Dallas will also be looking for game time at the expense of either Rodrigo or Klich! Everton will be full of confidence having comfortably beating Southampton last weekend. Manager Rafael Benitez is unlikely to tinker too much with the starting line up!
Tough game especially after the hammering we took against the scum. If we play like we did last weekend we could be in trouble. Stating the bleedin obvious, we need to get the first goal to get our confidence going.
this one is too hard to call so ill chicken out, I hope its a win and tonk em, but my mind is overruling my heart, we needs Tobes to put some comments up, so we can learn to hate again and get into the mood..
Two very close games last season. This will be the same. Whoever takes their chances will come out on top. Hopefully the home crowd can drag us over the line.
Whatever the result this is the first game for two season the players and crowd can celebrate promotion.
Last season we nullified James and kept the ball away from Richarlson. Under the Spanish waiter we will see a more direct route from the flanks and why he has bought 2 new wingers. So expect to see Cooper and Koch trying to keep crosses from ponytails head. Defending the wings will be a biggy for Junior and Harrison and Ayling and Raphinha. 3-1 Leeds
Will be interested to see the starting line up. It’s not beyond Bielsa to give the same team the chance to redeem themselves after last week’s result.
Good morning one and all. Apologies for all my negativty surrounding the team, I would never give up on them, but in all honesty I'm very nervous about this match. I can't see it being a goal fest, but we are Leeds, so you wouldn't know. Anyway those lucky feckers who are attending the match, enjoy, stay safe and I hope we get the result we need.LEEDS LEEDS LEEDS
I don’t see realism as negativity. I’m nervous every match and will be until we’re an established premier league team again. Anyway, today, win or lose I’m on the booze
Found myself thinking about this game and realised i would be happy with a point. We need to not go on a losing run as it becomes a habit.
I think today we will see a massive wake up call from all our new players as they see, hear and feel a banging throbbing atmosphere at ER for the first time. Llorente will be there and Junior, Koch, Rodrigo, Raphinha will be in the squad and I imagine we will some some new 23s on the bench. I think the whole 23 squad will be in the ground today getting an education
