Ndombele and Aurier definitely aren’t, they’re not registered and apparently Sissoko isn’t with them either (he wasn’t seen training anyway with the others anyway). I don’t know if Sessegnon travelled or not too, played 45 mins for the U23s the other night, probably still a week or so away from playing for the first team. I think/ hope he’ll be around for the home game against Pacos.
Only playing him in the first half might've been to get him ready to start this one. If other youth players are in the squad that weren't involved in the pre-season, then I don't really get why he'd be getting treated differently otherwise. Might be because he's a senior player, of course. Not sure where he'd fit into the team, either. If it's on the wing, then why play the U23 game at left-back?

Be great if he is, only seemingly returned to full training last week so assumed he was still gonna be another week or two away. Maybe with a such a young and rotated side, we'll be going 3ATB? Doherty and Sess WBs with Davies dropping in with Rodon and Romero.

It makes a lot of sense to give starts to Gollini, Romaro, Gil, Doherty, Rodon Davies, Lo Celso, Scarlet, Winks, etc. We need as many of the squad up to match speed as possible. By Sunday 29th August we will have played 5 games in just 2 weeks (one in Portugal). Then there's a 2 week international break followed by 3 London derbies (Palace, Chelsea and Arsenal), 2 possible ECL games and a league cup game in just 3 weeks. If we do not properly rotate and use the squad we will crash and burn around Christmas time which has happened for the last 3 years.
