We are all on the one side here so I don't want us turning on each other.

The point it that we have very expensive tickets, To follow Arsenal is certainly expensive no matter how you want to weigh it up.

You could argue that we have not been getting value for money but no one on here has the right to run down our supporters - who actually attend the games and pay their way. Coming out, talking rubbish and blaming our hard pressed fans is not acceptable, and to suggest it has anything to do with the poor form that the team has shown is insane.
We have terrific away supporters also but that has not helped our away form, all I am saying is lay off the fans.

All i'm saying is you are wrong with your argument about our ticket prices..I missed the game on Sunday due to ill health but i had a ticket in the Clock end.I'll miss the Stoke game but my ticket for the game is again in the Clock End.The price for my tickets is £35.That's easily comparable to most teams.I'm paying £60 to go to Chelsea and hopefully i'm going to Norwich where a ticket will cost me £45.

Don't you get the senior citizen discount?

    Just for comparison:

Arsenal - Chelsea - Spurs (all London clubs)

Arsenal - Min normal Adult price ticket (top 5 teams) = £51
Arsenal - Min normal Adult price ticket (rest) = £35
Arsenal - Min normal Child price ticket (top 5 teams) = £19
Arsenal - Min normal Child price ticket (rest) = £14

Chelsea - Min normal Adult price ticket (3 tier system top tier) = £61
Chelsea - Min normal Adult price ticket (bottom tier) = £52
Chelsea - Min normal Child price ticket (3 tier system top tier) = £19.5
Chelsea - Min normal Child price ticket (bottom tier) = £18

Spurs - Min normal Adult price ticket (3 tier system top tier) = £47
Spurs - Min normal Adult price ticket (bottom tier) = £36
Spurs - Min normal Child price ticket (3 tier system top tier) = £24
Spurs - Min normal Child price ticket (bottom tier) = £16

So Spurs cheapest Adult ticket in the top tier is the only one cheaper than Arsenal's.

Also worth noting that Arsenal's 2 tier system means the cheap tickets are availanle for all but 5 teams. Both Tottenham and Chelsea's lowest tier is only available for a small amount of games.

Ivan Gazdis would be proud of you lads, let them keep on mugging us for their own ends.
When things things really start to go tits up, which I fear is currently happening then we can always blame ourselves and our negative ungrateful fans.

Why don't you put forward a counter argument about ticket prices.
You posted that we had the most expensive prices and have been proved wrong.

You just both just blatantly ignored the fact that Arsenal have the most expensive season tickets in the premiership and cobled together a counter argument based on individual ticket prices verus our London rivals. You will only see what you want to see, it is a well known fact that we are the most expensive team to follow in the country on a season ticket basis. This vast majority of tickets sold for the club and other little headline grabbing deals v our London rival are irrelevant to the vast bulk of our fanbase.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...y-charging-landmark-price-match-day-seat.html

Your link to the Daily Mail about the £100 seat was something i mentioned earlier.I will reiterate that 7 cup games are included in the price of an Arsenal ST.Most clubs charge extra for cup matches so obviously this cost has to be added.I will say to you again the majority of our ticket prices for the majority of our games are comparable to the majority of clubs. Now rather than looking for soundbites on newspaper websites i would like you to prove me wrong

But ST's are not sold on a like-for-like basis, given that we include cup games in our prices.

The only comparison is on like-for-like tickets, where our cheapest is cheaper than our London rivals.

I only get to about 4-5 and the odd away game a season as I have to travel a long way to get there, I get them through the supporters club, the last ticket I got cost £58.

I spend a major amount of cash following the club, through travel and hotels etc and all the other expenses that go with it.. I do not begrudge that spend in anyway, I choose to spend my money on following the team, but like many fans right now I would find it hard to continue to justify these spends, given that the club do not seem to realise the sacrifice ordinary fans are making, yet the club do not seem to be repaying this sacrifice through reinvestment in our team.

I have been following Arsenal for nearly 30 years, and would never desert my club but with the money getting tighter, it has become harder for both myself and many more of our fans to keep on giving.

An example of like for like.Last season a Blackpool fan would have paid £35 for the game at the Emirates,I paid £40 for the game at Blackpool,i paid £40 to go to WBA,i paid £49 for Fulham away.
This season Newcastle fans will pay £35 for the game at the Emirates,i paid £36 to go to Newcastle.Blackburn cost me £35,i'm paying £60 to go to Chelsea,£45 to go to Norwich

That's fair enough, the cost of watching footbal in general is becoming excessive in this financial climate, but the point remains that it is a misconception that it is more expensive to watch Arsenal than other teams. We have cheaper lowest price tickets than afew other clubs.

The point to make about season tickets as well, is that if our cheapest adult ST is £893 and Tottenhams is £690, you have to include the fact that you get 7 cup games included in the price of ours. So 893 / 26 = £34.34 / game. 690 / 19 = £36.32. Not much difference there, but we are cheaper.

As they are purchased through the Supporters club I had not much choice, I was a red member for a few years and did not bother keeping it up as I get them this way now and bit more fun going with other lads than going solo.

Anyway, I better do some work here before I am shot, will be no more footie if I get the bullet.

I think you are confusing our home ticket prices with other clubs away ticket prices. It will always be cheaper to watch say us playing Sunderland at the Emirates than to get a ticket to watch us playing Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

It is a fact that our season ticket prices are the highest in the PL (the fact that includes some home cup games is of dubious worth as we may or may not get any).

Here is a link to 2010/11 PL season ticket prices; www.footballfancast.com/2010/06/football-blogs/premier-league-season-ticket-prices-a-tad-unfair

I'm making the point about ticket prices and how we charge clubs less than they charge us.If you don't get any cup credits they are carried over to the following season.I still stand by my argument that the majority of our ticket prices for the majority of our games are comparable to the majority of clubs in the PL

Read the thread and you can see that Arsenal also have cheaper tickets than our rivals.

As Cym says, our season ticket prices include 7 cup games, which make ours cheaper than the spuds. If we do not get 7 home cup games, then these are carried forward to the following season and taken off the renewal price.

So, it is certainly NOT a fact.
