It seems this isn't the first Burnsy ban, FC didn't like his questioning either and banned Radio Humberside and Look North from interviewing any of their staff or players in 2009 (when they were on a similar run to ours in 2020).
And is a fan of Hull City AFC. Has done more than most over the last 10 years to promote the team. Lives in Hessle does he not? Maybe has a mansion in Cod's Town?
You're kidding? Have you worked out who he supports yet? Or has he ever paid for entry into the stadium? Is he from Grimsby?
I don’t mind Burns though the commentator on IFollow has got better and that comes with experience. I also like Hughes when I’ve heard him talk about the game.
Fletch is great. He's not perfect and there'll always be things to complain about if people really want it, but he's a 'proper' commentator and doesn't spend the game talking about shirt colours or what's on the menu in the shop.
...and the City / region in general. Some "people need to give their heads a wobble" (as someone might say)
He does a good job, but I really wish he'd stop trying to expand his vocabulary and getting it wrong. 'The shot surpassed the post'. FFS.
Yeah I think he does try to overdo it at times, needs to dial it back a notch. Also needs to remember it's a City-only commentary so doesn't need to get so excited when the opposition score.
