I’ve always liked Burnsy commentating on City, even when I was a kid, listening on the car radio on a Saturday afternoon, I remember every time a goal was scored by one of the 3 local teams, a clip of someone, in my mind it’s Burns commentary, “and it’s there!” Waiting to see if it was City or Grimboys or Scunny was different & exciting, to having the full match commentaries from later years.
Burnsy is a fan like us, as well as a journalist. I'd love to hear Burnsy paired with Meyler, after hearing Meyler's co-commentary on iFollow last season. Bryan Hughes wasn't bad, but Meyler added quite a bit of "colour".
The quality of fight in the team relegation year and the first half capitulation to Wigan could not be left off the table. Burnsie was as a rule quite affable in his interviews but enough was enough and at the time I was glad he found his angry head with Grant. Skip forward a year and Grant had proved he can manage and it’s time RH was back at the ground.
I don't think Swanny is any great shakes myself but I think Burns is a good commentator when he does the job correctly.
David Burns is a ****ing good commentator. I have no idea why he comes with Swan, who is just some no nowt **** who can't seem to stop talking about Robbie Williams. David Burns and David Meyler would be a perfect match for RH.
Got it off the Internet. Not everyone keeps weird stuff on their hard drive (quaint, old fashioned bit of technology). Though I had forgotten about it until you mentioned it. Obviously indelibly engraved on your subconscious.
