I have just watched the extended highlights of the match. The Moncur foul on Ball seemed a deserved red card and could have badly injured Ball. Can anyone explain the many “back slapping” gestures by the QPR players prior to Moncur leaving the pitch? Did something happen earlier? We seemed to be very sympathetic towards him which seemed rather surprising.

Wow, only 10,700 in the crowd, a thousand of them Rs, for the first home game of the season for a newly promoted side. In Hull, where there can’t be that many other attractions on a Saturday afternoon. Are they still boycotting because of the owners?
Mainly yes. See the final question in this interview by Clive W with a Hull fan ... Bouncing back - Interview - Queens Park Rangers News | Loft For Words (fansnetwork.co.uk)
Still think is a bit strange consoling Moncur when Ball was still lying on the grass. But I admit that I only watched the extended highlights which may be misleading.
I think our players were angry when it first happened, were looking for a card too. But after Moncur got the red I think, he did go and see if Ball was ok or not, and maybe apologised. He probably wasn't looking to injure Ball either, his tackle was high, wild and dangerous and a red all right but probably not malicious.
Moncur also offered Ball his hand which was taken. All in all it was a very amicable red card but, as others have said, it helped that it would not make any material difference to the result.
I was definitely there that day. My moniker isn’t my year of birth. I took my GF as well, never took her again after that. I’m not going to hate Norwich because of that. It’s 45 years ago.
Why If it’s simply because of losing that game from 45 years ago then that’s sad that you still can’t let it go .
You asked what I had against the city of Norwich. Such a daft comment. Obviously nothing to do with the actual city. I dislike them for many reasons, plus it's a bit of a running theme on here. Sorry it upset you.
There's at least half a dozen reasons. A Norwich supporter could count them on the fingers of one hand
Ah so that makes you an old fart like the rest of us........welcome to the club..... As Col said it's bit of a running theme on here about Norwich, it's all said in good fun........mostly!!!!! It's a lovely City as you say...... Don't be a stranger on here
