There were four games with attendances under 4K Sheffield Wednesday was the biggest with 24K
There were 3K home fans only there for the Wycombe to go with the 800 odd blue army

And Wimbledon is not far from Fulham (relegated from Premier last season) and Chelsea. We don't have a Premier club near us. How can we fill our stadium? We had bigger crowds when we were in the Isthmian League. Is it the location of the stadium or are we not the supporters we used to be? Is it because one can't turn up on the day and pay at the turnstile? How many watch on iFollow I wonder

One would have thought that, having reached their highest position in the league in the club's history, with high hopes of getting promoted again, the stadium would be packed

I think they should open up 2 turnstiles to experiment; one for cash and one for cards. With good marketing they could get more turning up on the day. The on the day price would have to be higher than on-line purchases to reflect the extra cost and also to not discourage advance ticket purchases. Maybe a survey would be useful but no point in having the survey on-line as I suspect the only ones completing such a survey would be those who purchase tickets on-line

I think that some of it was down to playing Accrington who wouldn't attract any neutrals also problems with the ticketing system online I think there was over 5K in the ground Phil couldn't get a ticket in the terrace although it wasn't full

They were happy days standing behind the goal at the gasworks or hospital ends and switching for the 2nd half or going under cover if it was p*ssing down, i really loved watching Wycombe in my youth. :)

So did I. I used to live within waking distance of the ground and there were swarms of fans all walking to the ground and queuing up to pay a shilling (I think it was) at the turnstiles

I am afraid to say it is not only us if you look at the clubs who have become football league clubs over the past 40 years none get great crowds. Wigan was a prime example of this. It's the lot older clubs who seem to keep their support even in league1 & 2

It’s tough for any relatively new football league team to get an established large support. Wycombe is no different from many that are surrounded in the nearby area with well established Prem teams. We are very close to London and if you walk around the town centre you often see London based clubs shirts on kids (and adults).
We attract the die hards that then go on to bring their kids. We also attract the disgruntled from Premier league clubs (I am one of those)
I started following Wycombe in 1991 when I couldn’t get easily get access to White Hart Lane. Rocky was also in a similar situation (though he will have been singing Nuno’s name up there yesterday)!!
As we all know, once you set your heart on a club it’s generally your club for life unless something unusual happens. So our only hope is the younger
Maybe the club need to incentivise the 18+ to pro create

When you look at some of the older football league clubs & how they have been run to put it politely a shambles supporters keep turning up & handing their money over. An aside to that in the Mail today there is a report on the Sheff Wed game there is a comment from a home supporter after the game that we will walk this league talk about deluded

But Wimbledon are closer to Premier Clubs than we are, and they went into non league, and they had 9K attendance.

Remember that deluded shark who thought he could fill a 20k stadium? <doh>

It will be interesting to see if AFC Wimbledon manage to keep that attendance up, in one repesct I hope they do to poke in the eye of franchise. I suspect Bolton would have filled the away end (they will probably do the same at Adams Park) there would also have been a lot of the groundhoppers there as well.
