Add P'boro too that list too, they were horrendous today and majorly got away with one. Derby look like being the whipping boys, especially once they pick up a few injuries. They lost Colin Kazim Richards today and he'll miss the midweek game against us.

I wouldn't like to predict the top end, Fulham look good, West Brom are always strong but as usual, it's a lottery.

We'll be just fine, from the little we've seen of the Championship so far there's definitely going to be 3 worse teams than us. There are so many average sides in this league, we could end up being one of the better average sides and finish top 10.

I was dreading the start of the season without Honeyman, we looked a shadow of the side without him last season so I'm pretty pleased with how we've started. Having injuries to Wilks and Elder along with a number of covid issues has made it really tricky for us. We'll settle down and keep improving too.

Match was live on Aus. TV with a midnight kickoff. Watched a recording over breakfast this morning. Unfortunately whenever I watch you lose!

Ifollow didn't do the game as it was being shown Internationally but managed to see most of the game thanks to Plum's suggested stream.:emoticon-0148-yes:. I felt they were the better side, but not by much. Last week we got the rub of the green this week not so. Their keeper had a good game, and the off-the-line clearance from Matty Smith was probably the crucial moment in the game. If he had scored then I fancied us to get something from the game.

I thought when Matty Smith came on we looked much better, we had good periods in the game, but just couldn't get the goal which would have probably changed the whole complexion of the game.

On the whole, nothing to get down about IMO, we will play worse and win this season, get 3 points against Derby, who must be reeling from being 0-1 up only to lose their game 2-1 with 2 late goals.

On the sending off, it's a bit harsh, but I can understand why the ref sent him off, when you show your studs then the likelihood is a sending off.

Looking at that first quarter of the season and a young squad, my concern is that we then get sucked into a relegation fight. Once that happens, it can be hard to navigate a way out of that. The early injuries (plus self imposed squad restrictions) certainly wont help.
Three points versus Derby suddenly becomes very important.

Over the two games so far we had a great win at Preston but came back down to earth yesterday. The game was in the balance until they got their second goal. At times I thought we give them too much room allowing them to have a number of shots from the edge of our box when we needed to close them down quicker. Poor goals to give away, we might have got away with it in division one but this is an higher level and chances are taken better. I do think Honeyman was missed for his work rate and talking. We have to be alert on all set pieces because even though QPR are decent I think we will come up against much better. Don’t know who is the main talker and organiser at the back but we are a young side and hopefully will learn quickly.

We definitely weren't terrible , one of their goals took a big deflection and they cleared an attempt off
the line and their keeper made a couple of very good saves.

We came out strong at the start of the 2nd half but didn't equalise and then they got their 2nd

We looked a little naive at times and although we played well in patches they just picked us off when it mattered.

Ultimately, QPR did to us what we did to Preston.

I think there's a really strong Championship team within us. I like Magennis but a really top quality forward like a Hernandez or a Campbell would make a big difference to this team.

I agree Derby is a very big game looking at the fixtures over the next 2/3 weeks and us missing some key players. Yesterday at times we did well and needed to score in that period after ht, however one concern I have is unlike yesterday there will be times when we come under intense pressure especially away from home and it will be interesting how this young defence cope. Hopefully they will learn quickly because teams will take their chances much better in this league.

I thought we played ok, and I wasn't too impressed by QPR if I'm honest. We faced better teams and performances in League One. Their defending was very good and their keeper had a blinder, which as I mentioned before is why he's been linked to Premier League clubs recently.

    On to the next one.

Just watched the highlights, early wake up call defending wise. Two set piece goals we was asleep on and we made them look like brazil on the 3rd

I was quite surprised to find out he’s going to be in the Senegal ACON team. It’s not often there’s good keepers coming out of Africa.

On the red card the ref appeared to reach for the card marginally after he saw their lot rushing forward. That said it looked like a red in this day and age, but not sure if he made any contact.

I really enjoyed the day catching up with old friends, and having thoughtful and erudite conversation* over a few pints before the match. We'll play worse this season, yet still win.

    *Urika also turned up! :emoticon-0100-smile

    Couldn’t disagree more
QPR we’re very good very organised and I was impressed by them. They played well within themself and luckily eased off when went down to ten. The third goal was a piss take goal and shocking defending by us.
three across the back for them were good both well drilled full backs and the number 12 ran the whole game.

Strikers like Hernandez and Campbell cost a lot of money and we already know that we're not going to spend.

We'll just have to go with what we've got. I don't think 'Maggie' is a poor striker anyway. KLP will score goals (if we can keep him here).

We'll be ok. Promotion isn't on my Tarot cards, but I still think we will finish 9th.

Grant McCann is doing a good job with what he has.

I agree GM is doing a good job.
If he keeps us up this season I expect he will have other clubs interested him.
    The crowd yesterday was embarrassing.
It’s best for everyone for the Allams to sell up ASAP.
    Apathy is rife.
