Top three in order, only if you saw the game, you know the drill.

Greaves - odd to favour a defender given the score line, but most of his work was superb

Smallwood - kept it going in midfield when they swamped us and improved when the change was made

Elder - random choice from the rest.

i wasn’t keen on Moncur today. He looks exciting and skilful at times but nothing seems to ever come of it.

Thought we were ok, pretty even, until it all went pear shaped! Poor defending from set pieces (although decent from them) and same for their 3rd.

Agreed. 3 - 0 is an unflattering scoreline tbh. Two good set pieces from them that they clearly practice a lot in the training ground that we perhaps should've done better defending and a third after we got a man sent off. Had Smith scored, it could've ended differently. Second goal seemed to knock the stuffing out of us and we got desperate, hence Moncur's lunge.

    1. Moncur - looked good until he went off though his decision-making at times was a bit off
    2. Greaves - despite the scoreline he looked steady and mature
    3. Magennis - didn't do a lot but always making the right runs and got into good positions, just a shame the midfield didn't play him in quick enough on the break otherwise he would've had a few one-on-ones

Moncur - worked hard and created down the right in the second half . Felt the red card was harsh but only from my view from the stand .
Greaves - tackled well and some good interceptions
Coyle - good going forward, a nice battling performance.

Felt 4 one flattered us last week . 3 nil certainly flattered QPR

With only 11 posts, 12 with this I’d think there wasn’t any stand out players today…but apparently we didn’t play too bad….

    1. Greaves .. he made mistakes as did they all but put in a few terrific challenges.

    2. M. Smith .. liked the look of this lad, when he came on we definitely improved, some lovely through balls and was unlucky to score just denied by a terrific goal line clearance.

    3. Magennis .. he isn't any world beater and won't score what some were predicting but it was a whole hearted performance and you could see the effort he put in.

I would have included Moncur, but any time a player gets sent off and let's his team mates down with a rash tackle like that dents his copybook in my opinion.

Note to KLP .. You're mate Jarrod practised on his weaknesses, and became a better all round player as a result, get on that training pitch and get comfortable on your left foot son.

It was quite obvious today that the final ball was missing for the most part, unlike Preston, and we missed George, we played OK.. no more no less, but need to reach the clinical standard of the Preston game to push on. QPR deserved it today and despite what some would like to think, looked dangerous everytine they went forward.

You may need to wear your shinpads (aka "Greaves") for this vote.
Is it "Alias Smith and Jones" or "Alas Smith and Jones" ?

All depends on your vintage I suppose.

Silver lining? Don't grieve for me Argentina.

    Moncur
    Docherty
    Coyle.

What I didn't like to today was the little gang of about 30 QPR lads after the game who ran through St Stephens and were slapping any young person they thought was a City fan across the face. Continued this into the bus station until they realised there were some older people there who might slap them back..
Police ? Not a chance. But about 20 of them were stood together chatting on the train lines side of the barriers in Paragon not bothering anyone.
