Can't see why Fabinho has not started, unless he is carrying an injury. With VVD and Matip only just back from injury they will need a bit of cover from the midfield. They will not get much help from the starting midfield.
Not surprised at the back line, fully expected VVD to play and we all knew Matip would start. Midfield looks weak, and not just because Keita is starting.
There was always something reassuring having him starting or on the bench and seeing his name, makes you realise even more now he's gone
No, strong performing in preseason and fabinho to come in still. Actually it's a front 6 that's player twice in a row together so from continuity point of view it makes sense.
Trust me guys we will start strong here. These guys have been pressing very very well and pit their hand up as a result. It's up to them now to grab the chance. Let's face it, thiago is simply nowhere near fit and henderson wasn't given any real time by England so he lost his preseason for no reason
Pre season games are bollocks, hardly any tackling so gives a false impression. Milner will ne knackered after 60 minutes and the other two will probably get injured, hopefully not in the warm up!
Thats all fine but they still put the effort in and busied themselves so imo give them a chance before saying they are weak. Which is fair but today they have gone 4 weeks plus 1 in preseason and never.missed a step so today they cannot be fitter. If they last 60mins it gives the main men 30mins later which is ideal. If they get injured so be it. Today they are there cos they put the hand up for inclusion in training.
