Especially when you think West Brom have been quite open about the fact Sam Johnstone is available at £10m-£12m. Still got a couple of years before he hits his thirties too.
i think our problem is we already have Forster on massive wages. We can’t sign yet another keeper until his contract expires or someone buys him
We aren't signing a goalkeeper with both McCarthy and Forster still on the books on high wages & no interest in them, no matter who is available. Having 3 keepers on high wages would be suicidal for a club our size.
I agree to an extent with this, most managers seem to have worked out how to play against him, and I’m not going judge early, but our season start is tough, and Everton were there for their taking today. Good positives in Tino and AA, but Djneppo can **** right off as far as I’m concerned.
Oh, I completely understand but it's ****ing agonising watching Ralph have to play musical goalkeepers with the two of them.
Yep, but McCarthy has agreed a new deal (why we even want him to extend right now, no idea), and Forster has rejected his.
Difficult to assess, when all the good stuff is in the first half of a defeat, in the first game of the season. But some encouraging debuts.
Raph really needs to learn when to use his bench. That game was crying out for Stuey on after an hour for Theo. Given we play a high energy game I don't understand his reluctance to use the bench.
