Why the **** do you move up here in the first place then? He always had the option to turn it down. We should never sign another player who isn't willing to move lock stock and barrel up here.
What a disaster he has turned out to be. He never wanted to be here IMO, which speaks volumes of the man and his priorities because he’s never played for a club of this size before and never will again. It’s one thing being messed about by mercenaries in the Premier League, quite another having League One dross like Will Grigg stinking the place out.
If he was honest with himself he should've turned the move to us down, he's never wanted to be here and he's just another player who has screwed us over money
Honestly can't see how he can pull the shirt on again after that from the gaffer. He will get absolute pelters now (if he didn't before). How much would we be looking at to pay him up/negotiate a deal to **** him off? 300k maybe? Would be money well spent imo.
Damning indictment of Grigg. Not prepared to apply himself. Looking forward to him moving on and seeing the replacement come in.
Thats that then. When you watch that transfer play out on STID it is crazy. Ross said he wasnt worth that price but Donald did his own thing.
Ross did not want him, and told Donald so.. Ross had wanted Maja, Donald fannyed around making him a decent offer...the rest as they say is history. In a way Ross was the fall guy for this...
Absolute joke of a player. Called him a coward for a long time and people thought I had a grudge for some reason. LJ comments just there is a close as you'll get professionally to that.
Can't see how he can actually play for the club again, reading between the lines, LJ has basically said that he's not doing enough in training to be considered for the first team
Should t even be on the bench anymore for me. If he wants out let him pay up his contract and **** off. If not let the Kernt rot. I wouldn’t even pick him in the 23’s.
https://www.sunderlandecho.com/spor...to-will-grigg-ahead-of-mk-dons-return-3344613 Nobody forced him to come? He should have thought about where he was moving to before he signed his lucrative contract. Whether he's happy living up North or not theres no excuse for not trying and making an effort for your employers that are paying you a huge wage. Im sure Offshore workers hate being away from their families aswell but if they went into work and didnt make an effort theyd be sacked. Newcastle have a similar situation with Isaac Hayden but he's one of their best players still. Just goes to show the difference in professionalism.
The writing was on the wall when he missed that sitter on his debut when he just had the keeper to beat and shot wide.
As others have said, it is rare for a manager to be so damning about a contracted player. Shows Johnson has a brutal side which is needed in his profession. Cant see him ever featuring again. Earlier this week I was suggesting he might chip in with a few from the bench and other posters put me right. Shows what I know eh
Hayden is a cracking young player. Hopefully he's exactly the kind of signing we are looking at in future and not the Griggs of this world Deemed not good enough by Arsenal but developed to prove everyone wrong.
