Given the extra challenges of last year, I am pleased they managed promotion, by winning League 1. Malik Wilks (19) and Josh Maginnes (18) were their top scorers last year, and both will be hoping to continue that form coming into the Championship. As for us, two 1-1 draws so far, against Millwall and Leyton Orient, have bought home the reality that there are gaps in our squad, and that some of the back up players will need a few games to get warmed up and into the swing of things. I'll add team news when it goes up, others can add what they know, and enjoy those who are going...and as always... ... COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
I'm looking forward to facing a higher level of opposition. We always play badly against lower league teams! We're at our best when it's more of a challenge. It's been like that for as long as I can remember with QPR.
One of the few away grounds I've been too. Think Barton got sent off but we were ahead anyway. Then they equalised and then young Furlong got tricked and we lost. Does not seem to be a happy hunting ground for us. Long journey home! Nevertheless, COYRss!
Just looked at what Rowan Vine has been up to. He certainly gets around. Since he signed for us he's been at 21 different clubs.
I'm pretty sure Rob Green was playing for them in this match...took my son to this for his first visit to HQ absolute awful performance, and should be added to the "ones to forget" list
Thanks. My extensive research, involving both Google and Wikipedia, didn't uncover any games he's played for them.
Green was in goal for us, McGregor was in goal for Hull. Queens Park Rangers 1-2 Hull City - BBC Sport
I know - it was his last ever game for us. Near enough threw the ball in his own net for their second, useless ****
Hull…not been there for a game, only for work decades ago. Different country. 1-1 would be fine by me. Cheers Dave.
Very succinct Sb. I’d be happy to remain unbeaten from this one and build (towards beating ‘boro and some old hack they have there). Oh … and cheers Dave too…
I am quietly hoping that with our style of play, we may be quite effective away from home where we should have more opportunities to attack on the break. We have two away games to see if this hypothesis will be true.
