Things do change, but cant use adam johnson as a comparison. Phillips is in the media and a safc legend he is going to get asked about us all the time. You might agree or disagree with stuff he says but he will always be a legend.
I'm not mate. I thought Marco would always be a legend but I don't believe he still is .... ... and he stopped Newcastle going to Wembley.
I wonder which one is their first choice. They seem to be willing to pay more for the Exeter lad. Haven't seen anyone else mentioned who would be a backup.
Key can also play on the wing it's where he started until Exeter played them last season, can't see us getting both, but if we did that could be the clubs thinking
I get the feeling Gabriel’s first choice is Blackpool so we’ve upped our bid for Key now we know he’s likely to go there. Just a feeling, based on absolutely nothing other than some random ITK on an Exeter board
Key must be half decent for Exeter to have dog their heels in. They got a massive wedge when Watkins went to Villa of course which will have helped, about £8million, but they’ll still constantly need funding.
If I was a betting man (I’m not), I reckon Gabriel goes to Blackpool and we get news of an accepted bid for Key by Friday. Winchester (if fit) should be starting right back against MK Dons no matter what, as that’s what has worked so far and will give whoever comes in time to get to know the lads.
It's funny how we care about fees, sell ons, etc. All we should be arsed about is who is on the pitch in our strip. Let the boys and girls above worry about the pennies. Sorry, and the.. Thems?
I'd see that as sufficient reason to look elsewhere. I'd be astounded if true, because literally no-ones dream is to play for Blackpool football team... but if it were, THAT would be why we shouldn't sign him.
