Breaking - Liverpool have been tracking Harvey Barnes... Arsenal want Maddison, loads of top teams want Tielemans ... unfortunately for all the suitors they all have solid contracts and we don't need their money ...
... so are Newsatle historically ... but they're not going to gate crashing the silverware party any time soon ... did you know that no club outside the 'Big 6' has won the Community Shield since 1995? ... well not until now ... looking like there are some new kids on the block .... suck it up Roy
I'm not talking about Newcastle mate or any club really its just the way it is. Players want to be at the biggest clubs they can get to.
Tbf to fosse lestah are the biggest club outside of the actual big clubs. At the mo anyway. Rafas #peasants on the up this year
Leicester are up there with them and that's a big thing, but if he thinks they'd pick Leicester ahead of Liverpool or Arsenal then he's getting a bit carried away
Your right they do but here’s a bit of irony....... any player we sign, who pulls his weight in the club is treated like family by the chairman and his predecessor (Dad)...... take slab ead’ Maguire, when Manc U were sounding him out Vichai told the player to give himself another year for us, then he’d get his move, which he agreed to and the chairman stuck to his word and the deal went through 12 months later, albeit on the cheap ! Roy Keane hit the nail on the head when he said going to Arsenal atm would be a backward step, yes they are a bigger club atm but currently team wise, 1st eleven, they stand in our shadows, they are nowhere near us, fact ! Vards saw it and stayed put ! Who do you think would progress Maddison’s game better atm , Arteta or Rogers ? He has everything he needs where he is, I’d be the 1st person to applaud him as an opposing player if he was bettering himself as I did Heskey when he went to Liverpool because he was. The proof was in the pudding when we had Chelsea’s pants down with £30 million for Drinkwater, fookin mugs ! Fact is we don’t need to sell, we only sell if our valuation is met and a player expresses a desire to leave. I definitely see him bettering himself but not to Arsenal where they are at present .
I have to agree with that bit. I don't even give Arsenal a thought regarding the Prem, to me they might just edge Brentford. Arsenal's glory days under Graham and Wenger are long gone, now their fans have to face the reality of being an average first division side. #WengerOutComingBackToHauntThem
Your spot on mate, Arsenal’s problem to me all stem from the hierarchy at the top ( no pun intended ) First and foremost, that is what needs to be addressed as a matter of urgency imo ?
Arsenal use to be a decent side going back decades, trouble is the supporter mentality destroyed it, long before the money men had finished. I said it was going to end badly for the gunners and it did. When I look through the fixtures, anything involving Arsenal now I just skip pass, it's become embarassing to even admit to watching them. I only pay £9.99 a month for SKY Sports, even that is 9.98 too much for the North Londoners. At least non trophy winners Spurs have some diginity, at least I feel some passion to want to watch them.
