You have not engaged with the points made.

You enjoy using the word idiot. So the definition of idiocy is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. The aims and objectives are being ignored by the noise around the gesture. To create an improvement would be to remove the political/non political gesture. The same thing you advocate is idiocy and the message gets lost.

You have been given the reason but you don't want to hear it, they boo because they believe the gesture to be political, whatever they might say.

And not involving the fans is a huge mistake.

Just wear your swastika and give your Roman salute and see exactly what people think of you?

For a start you are bringing a comment from a another thread into this one and so yes that has nothing to do with Bristol City players. Fans booing Bristol City players has something to do with Bristol City players and I stand by my comments

Absolutely spot on, even swastikas and Roman salutes are on the table but the minority who don't accept that set a bad precedent.

The point that people think a non-political gesture is political? How do you engage with that stupidly? It's nonsensical

It is political as is the swastika and the Roman salute, whatever you claim will not change that.

Here is the statement from BCFC. Where does it say it's political?

City’s players will all take the knee this season in solidarity with the struggle against any form of discrimination.

Ahead of kick-off, players will join together in a united group around the centre circle, which will start tomorrow against Blackpool (August 7th).

This gesture of unity is not an alignment to any political organisation or ideology, but rather raising the awareness of the important issue of discrimination.

The club ask that fans respect the players as they take the knee and support them in this stance.

City will never accept racism or any form of discrimination in our game and we will use every opportunity to send a strong unified message that we are together against inequality.

Give it rest it is political, because an extreme political has made it so, just like an extreme political party made the swastika and Roman salute .

I consider all comments and threads for balance on this forum, you have got a right to your opinion, I, believe it or not support your right to express it but the other side have the same rights as you to express their opinions, let us just keep things balanced and stop emotive name calling.

Because you can start from a differing position from your own by treating people with more respect than you are exercising.

OK fair enough I challenge you to wear a swastika a give a Roman salute at the next home game and see how long you stay in the ground, you made a statement saying they were not political let's see if the old Bill view that way, after all only the minority will see it as a bad precedent apparently.

Why should I? I never said I wanted to do that and where is my statement saying they were not political? I just said that we should reclaim them. The Swasika was a symbol of divinity, spiritualty, and good luck from ancient times. It was only a small 10-15 year period in the 30's and 40's that it was used atrociously and it is outlawed. Kneeling is not

Try that view on people in the Jewish community and see exactly how much support it gains, actually try that view on the wider community, I am sure it will a huge success.

The hypocrisy is that you can see how that symbol and gesture was hijacked but cannot see the same for taking the knee, which has been hijacked in recent history by an extreme political party. As I said you say because footballers say it's not political it must be true, but if anybody tried to publicly 'reclaim' the swastika and Roman salute using your reasoning, why shouldn't that be true as well? we all know it would never be viewed that way.

Hey I've only called the ****ing idiot a ****ing idiot because he is. The others can only claim be idiots if they think the taking of the knee Saturday by Bristol City players were a political statement.

Think we are getting side tracked by the Swastika business. My fault as I bought it up but at the moment as I said that is outlawed. Kneeling is not so until it is we have to take it that if someone says it not political then it's not.
