A man suspected of causing a major fire that ravaged the cathedral in the French city of Nantes last year has murdered a Catholic priest in western France, the interior minister said.

A source close to the investigation, who asked not to be named, said a man had gone to the police in the town of Mortagne-sur-Sevre and declared that he had killed a priest.

I was one of Maggie's constituents for a year in 1976-1977. I went to a Tory AGM which she attended and gave a speech.

 

I started reading a book about how teachers give more attention to the kids that are born in January, February and March etc as opposed to the ones born in October, November and December. Same as physical sports teams, the vast majesty are born at the start of the year, because they develop before their younger peers obviously. Can't remember what it was called, was quite interesting though. Not even sure I have explained what I was trying to say very well actually. Oh, well.

 

They certainly are, which makes it even more ridiculous. Like I have said many times, British politics is in a terrible state. There is pretty much no opposition, Labour and the Lib Democrats etc are absolutely farcical. There is definitely an opportunity for a new party to be formed, but doubt anybody could be bothered doing it.

 

It will never happen with first past the post
