Welcome Romero, right that's me off for a weeks holiday with the family , house in Norfolk with little or no wifi or phone reception, usual for Norfolk I'm told , have a good one lads and I hope to return to something that resembles a football team capable of honouring the shirt they wear ,COYS
So about how, on Atalanta's site, they claim Romero has been signed on loan with the option to buy... https://www.atalanta.it/en/news/cristian-romero-joins-tottenham-hotspur/ The first thing to point out is that the possibility is that it's Atalanta's admin having a bad day, considering the text is almost identical to that of Gollini being loaned to us https://www.atalanta.it/en/news/pierluigi-gollini-joins-tottenham-hotspur/ It also has to be said that Atalanta's Twitter made it very clear that he's left on a permanent deal On the other hand, if this isn't Atalanta's web admin having a bad day, it means we Lo Celso'd Juve and the loan with an option lowers the fee we have to pay while also saving Atalanta from chucking a decent chunk of the fee back to Juve in sell-on fees - and also means we have money to play with in the coming week ...or it's simply down to the fact that, as Atalanta signed Romero today, they can't also sell him today hence the loan One thing that certainly gives credence to thinking Romero is on loan is how Dan Kilpatrick and Alasdair Gold are quoting very different figures, which is a bit odd it has to be said
I wish Kane would put more effort into improving relations with the club before worrying about alienating the fans.
Good if true, Cirkin’s always been highly rated here and having an option to bring him back is in our interests if either Reguilon leaves for Madrid next summer or Sessegnon doesn’t push on.
Harry Kane. It does smack of “I’ve just realised I’m going to be stuck here next season so I’d better start winning friends and influencing people.”
I’d say RB is the most pressing concern as Aurier could be off and I don’t think anyone wants to rely on just Doherty for the season. Creative mid too but I said earlier that I don’t think that’ll happen whilst Ndombele and Lo Celso are here. If we could shift the Frenchman seeing as there’s rumours he may want out again then that’d be great though. Either that or try getting a swap done with Barca for Coutinho if they were open too it. Then a solid striker to partner/ compete with Kane, assuming the latter stays.
There's talk that the Romero deal is actually a loan with the obligation to buy, which is why Spurs didn’t mention anything about his contract length as they usually say “… has joined on a 6 year deal” etc. According to some he’s definitely signed a 5 year deal but starting from next summer when we sign him permanently. IF true (which I think it is), it means we should theoretically have money to play with still for this window outside of player sales, as it’s saved us paying the £42m/€50m right now, obviously it’ll impact us next summer but hopefully if Don Fabio’s signings prove successful this season there won’t be a need for multiple incomings by then like there are for this one. I’m hopeful we can still bring in 3, possibly even 4 new players, ideally starting with Tomiyasu, who should be returning from Tokyo soon after Japan lost their bronze medal match.
Don't know how accurate this is ="https://www.calciomercato.it/2021/0...ottenham-accordo-tomiyasu-olimpiadi-atalanta/"
Essentially waiting for his return from the Olympics but we've raised our offer to 20 million without bonuses even though Bologna were after 22. It's now down to the structure of the payments.
should have come out and said this on Monday or by whenever it came known to him that he was getting pelters from the fans…but he didnt give a **** then because he was probably thinking he’s definitely off to City, then they buy Grealish for 100 mill, gulp, then Messi becomes available, double gulp. This is more a case of he can see his dream move slipping away so now he’s **** the bed not good enough oh and Romero
This is going to be funny on deadline day if City are serious about him. City.........go on then £120m Levy (pound signs popping up in his eyes cartoon style)......deal, he's yours my friend. Nuno...........who is my striker for this season Daniel?
