If he's a fighter it would give him something to prove. A very clever, intelligent player who would add so much to Spurs.
City's owners aren't used to being told no...and they don't like it. If they want something, they tend to get it, no matter what they have to do...to whom....to get it. They'll be trying to get Kane until the window closes...and the history of ENIC at Spurs suggests that they probably will. Frazier Campbell, anyone?
He can quarantine in the rooms at Hotspur Way (like Nuno did) and train on the separate pitches there until he’s done his quarantine, if he has to do one. Not sure what the rules are coming from Italy these days and it also depends when he was last in Argentina, I think. Either way he can do physical and ball work on his own, at the very least.
There has to be some kind of time limit applied here too. They can't conclude this on the last day and leave us no time to get a decent replacement in
With a €70m release clause, supposedly The mission, Fabio, if you choose to accept it is to wrap up a deal for Lautaro Martinez so quickly that Chelsea won't be able to re-sign Lukaku
Yeah but there’s rumours that he’s double jabbed and won’t supposedly need to do what Nuno done. If that’s true it’s great news for us, I assume he’ll still need to take a PCR test but if he’s able to get stuck in right away it at least gives him just over a week of full training with us before the City game. If there’s a small chance he could get minutes on Sunday too then even better.
Don’t get your hopes up, centre back pairing against Man City will be Dier and Sanchez, Aurier at RB, Winks and Sissoko in central midfield with no recognised striker up top.
Anyone else thinking these Daws and Ledley photos (two of our much loved CBs) are gonna lead to them sharing a photo with Romero or is that just wishful thinking on my part? Lol.
My feeling is this is what Levy hopes will happen. Them not putting in an acceptable bid until it is too late and we can use the 'can't bring in a replacement' excuse.
That’s on Levy imo…he needs to call that shot and put it out there. He won’t though because I guess he doesn’t really make the connection with how it affects us on the pitch…that’s the bit he’s not good at in all this and indeed in general, the football pitch stuff for our benefit.
Remember the time Man Utd had to pretend their fax machine wasn't working in order to stop De Gea joining Los Ladrones on Deadline Day?
If Levy lets Kane go on the last day and we have not signed 2 strikers before hand then the atmosphere at the Lane will be as bad as our season will be. We absolutely need 1 striker even IF we keep kane.
Yeah I don’t think we’ll be seeing a repeat of the Berbatov fiasco. Not unless Levy wants London riots part two, which ironically was 10 years ago today (TEN! Feels like just a few).
I did find our social media bigging up Dane Scarlett 2-3 weeks ago a teensy bit concerning, because that did seem to be trying to seed Plan C That being said, if that was Plan C then we made a mistake loaning out Parrott, as having both Parrott and Scarlett available if there's a lack of any other strikers is far better than just having Scarlett around
BBC have spent weeks bigging up Kane to City yet today have an article under the heading of "He could have been immortal at Villa - where does Grealish fit it at City?" The double standards are breath taking
"We are not an exception" Name one other club in world football whose owner is paying half of their sponsorship fees to get around FFP
Fair enough - on the surface. But what he probably meant to say was, 'we did our best to tap him up and he'd be our player now if it wasn't for his idiot brother ...and a 3 year contract of course...'
