They're signing Bailey and they've signed Buendia and possibly Cantwell, too. That's both wings and the attacking midfield role without including the players they've already got. Did they qualify for Europe and I missed it or something?
The real question is what they're gambling for A crack at the Europa is certainly possible with the players they've brought in, but the obvious question after that is how many of them will be having interviews with Gary Neville on golf courses if they fail to achieve that aim?
I was only trying to make a case for buying Romero, since I think Spurs have a good example to follow to get back to the top: themselves under Pochettino. Part of that effort was buying Vertonghen and Alderweireld. Romero looks to be at that level...on the face of it, anyway.
Southampton looking at Blackburn's Adam Armstrong to replace Ings, apparently. Decent player. Could do the same job for them, as his lack of stature wouldn't be an issue. Scored a ****load in a pretty poor team last season and he's only got a year left on his deal, IIRC.
I did suggest him as a potential Championship pickup this summer, as he could make for a useful backup at best, and if not somebody who can be flipped for a profit a couple of seasons from now
There’s rumours that Gala have agreed terms for Tanganga’s loan. Not sure I like this. If we are to loan him though I’d rather it be to an English side to build his experience in the Prem.
They're currently in the Europa League qualifiers, so it could work out well for him. If he starts regularly and the crowds are back in Turkish football, then it'll be interesting, at least!
I'm forced to hate Gala due to one my best mate's love for Fener. I've been an honorary member down a Fener social club too. I've even been taught anti-Gala chants, despite my Turkish pronunciation being utterly horrendous
Nobody tell the Galatasaray fans he used to play in the same youth team as Noni Madueke... The obvious suggestion is that we're willing to loan him because we've made a breakthrough for Tomiyasu (or some other CB we aren't aware of) due to the positional overlap, because if it's just Romero arriving there's still scope or Tanganga to get a fair amount of games - but if somebody else is coming in, then it's best he gets a run of games this season
https://amp.theguardian.com/footbal...-fearless-old-school-winger-sevilla-dribbling Interesting article on our new signing which seems to have been submerged a bit by the Kane stories.
Sonny boy likening a post having a dig at Harry Kane on the Insta something about no player being bigger than the club
Kane’s behaviour is making it easy for me to move on tbh I think he’s ****ed the relationship up, no statue or stand named after you lad, no eternal legendary status, just another great footballer who played for a few clubs, scored **** load a goals(right up there for me with Defoe and Keane) like many have done in the past and won a few domestic trophies at a sugar daddy plaything Arab toy club like many footballers have been doing for the last 10 years. Wether he earns 200k or 400k won’t really improve his life, he’s already proved that by not caring about being fined by the club so it’ll be a thanks for the great memories and I couldn’t give a **** if he wins anything at City or not, I don’t and won’t wish him the best because I don’t support City. So anyway, I still think that Martinez chap would be great in a Spurs shirt…I get that Suarez vibe about him….got a 70 mill release clause…would get me off the edge of my couch imo…can’t see it happening unless Paratici can do some magic though.
this was one of my concerns during this window. - Not getting rid of some of the names we’ve mentioned countless times over, and instead, losing better players that we’d rather have in the squad for the coming season. I can see us still having so much deadwood that features quite regularly.
