Sad to hear about HIAG. One of those you felt you knew through the bizarre, disconnected medium that is t’interweb

I know Rooney has previously turned his personal life into an episode of Eastenders, but he actually now appears to be morphing into Phil Mitchell....

And then some. He looks like he should have a dog on a rope and be hanging around outside a supermarket.

    RIP HIAG

    Sad news.

A cheaky-chappy who was quite amusing with his light hearted wumming.

A loss to the forum and naturally to his family.

Is this site suffering hosting problems, or has somebody awarded a penalty against Liverpool?

There was an issue, but brb has now sorted it, apparently.
Might take a little while to settle down, as is tradition, but it should return to normal soon. <ok>

It's a shame that Newcastle aren't built around Bobby Robson's views on football.
    Massive influence on the game.

I can think of a few clubs that don't come close to anything he said there

Let's start with Monster Energy Dusseldorf...

I disagree. I'm sure there are plenty of East German kids that have felt like that after going to their first Leipzig match.
I hate virtually everything about the club, including all of their middle-aged fans springing from nowhere, but a lot of the youngsters won't have a clue about it.
They'll just be taken to a match and fall in love with the game.

They're taken to the match, wonder why there's practically zero crowd noise, which is strange because in FIFA there's crowd noise at their games

Not quite the story of the kid who was taken to Maine Road and was told by his father beforehand he might see people say and do things that he wouldn't see at home, which led to the kid running out of the gents at half time shouting "They're not pissing in the sinks like you said they would!", but given it's the Bundesliga maybe they'll have somebody standing by the sinks trying to rouse the crowd there as well?

I think the great Dutch and Brazilian teams of the 60's & 70's really developed the attacking full backs with the total football revolution. Players like Ruud Krol, Nilton and Djalma Santos, and of course Carlos Alberto. Cooper was the British equivalent. I am not sure if it was there before the 60's what about Arthur Rowe's Spurs push and run team?
