Good evening Sir. First of all my regards to your good lady. Re your response, you're right. Up until the Jack Grealish 100 million bid, Man City refused to have the mickey taken out of them when I came to fees. They would rather walk away from a player they wanted rather than get the urine taken. It's clear to me that we have a structure and plan in place. One that includes fees and signings that suit us. Who really knows just how many clubs we have told to go forth and multiply after we've been given a ridiculous quote because we have money. So it may seem we're going slow in the market to some, but as you say, the days of blatant inflation when it comes to us from both selling clubs, and players asking a little bit more because we're in the wild North, are over.
Not being funny, I reckon if you gave me the option of the club announcing a new left back or a new signed contract for Embleton tomorrow, I’d probably pick the latter:
yeh I understand an offer is on the table. And people tell me he loves the club and wants to stay. I’d just love it secured like that. Would be huge. a left back will 100% definitely happen - but Embleton won’t 100% definitely stay (feels like 95% tho). For that reason I want him nailed. Team should be built around him. Delighted he has the number 8 shirt
Isn't it strange that after the game last night there hasn't been many rumblings regarding not having any proper full backs in place before the Wigan game........
Was speaking to a Forest supporter yesterday who can’t believe they’re even considering Gabriel. Says he expected him to start and go on to become one of the best right backs in the championship this year. I know Gab Sutton agrees. would be a hell of a signing in league one. Personally think he’s still a long shot
Maybe their finances are dictating the sale, I have no idea about their finances btw, not even sure about the price, but if he was on £5k a week and we gave them £600k, its his wages which are the big savings for them
agree yeh but if Blackpool are in as well, I think they’d be ahead of the queue. I know I got pelters for saying that last time, but he played there last season so knows the team and manager etc, and it’s championship football. If he’s really good enough and improving, he will back himself to go there and impress even if they get relegated. alternetively I just hope that he can buy into our vision. Let’s see. Got to get the bid right first and forest need to get a replacement as I understand it
Personally I wouldn't live anywhere near Blackpool, it's rotten. Not just the town, it's the whole area. It's always in the bottom 10 of worst places to live ... ... Hull is usually in the bottom 3
