It will be more interesting than this thread. In fact Whickham have more chance of winning the FA Cup than this thread finally being closed due to a takeover
I take that back - we don't start the competition until a lot of the smaller clubs (like Sunderland) have been knocked out.
A Whickham man. Lived all my life on Warwick Avenue. Well I say all my life I moved to Burnopfield but my Mam and Dad still live there.
Everybody knows the best non league sides are in South Tyneside. South Shields will end up swapping places with sunderland in a few years
I was on a call with some guys from the Middle East before the Eid break, they deal with the PIF on a regular basis, have friends/family there - they seem to think there's no deal at all, that it went away. I tried to explain some of what is going on over here, and they were genuinely mystified because as far as they were aware, it was all dead and buried. "Could have been great" was the kind of comment. These are the same guys who told me of PIF's interest right back at the start, with the comment of "Saudi's are buying your football team". So they've been wrong before. I just think that as PIF, Staveley or Reubens aren't involved in the legal disputes, they could all come out and state their intent. Staveley's made some fluffy soundbytes, but she remains on my list of untrustworthy people, below Ashley of course, but above Bashar al-Assad. PIF could buy the club without Staveley, set up a vehicle with it's own P&L so as to show MBS isn't involved. That's what Mansour did. RB could cut a deal for £250m, I reckon. There's deals to be had. I don't know if it's as simple as Ashley having weird sociopathic tendencies, whether Staveley's just a good liar, etc. I don't understand why the parties don't just sell the club and let the fight carry on. I mean, what happens if MBS fails the O&D test? Presumably he can't then influence the club, or something? How does that affect a company that owns the club, they could just appoint a different director. Too much doesn't add up still. Like the ESL, this is just going to flicker away to nothingness.
I agree on most points. It feels like AS is tyre kicking. What I don’t get is why AS and RB don’t just buy it. What I also don’t get is why PIF didn’t agree to the originally arbitration. To walk away was bizarre. And I know we all have our theories in this but honestly they thought they had actually sealed the deal but for the PL to pull the rug. They would just say **** it. It’s all gone deadly silent from AS. Is she just the biggest dreaming bullshitter ever: has she just tried to bully the PL to yield and then try and pull PIF back to the table. Probably!
I'll say it again. Fans are falling for the anti Staveley ****e which stems from people in the media that don't like her! They don't like her because they see her responsible for giving them nightmares about nufc being super rich.
Not me. I just think she's full of ****, because she has pulled this stunt twice previously with City and Liverpool, and got rinsed in court by Barclays, effectively again winning nothing because she's full of ****.
It's business you win and lose but she's a very clever lady. You're not talking about winning a few sales in an office or call center There's another reason they don't like her... They're sexist.
Honestly if we loan Barkley willock and sign lookman that would be brilliant for me. Literally Bruce would have no excuses then.
Lookman I don't like personally... Nothing he does ever comes to anything. Willock and Gallagher for me
I don’t like her because she is effectively a glorified financial consultant who has gone overseas to pray on expats and foreigners. They are the scum of the earth. Last scheme one was trying to sell to me was buying up life insurance policies of terminally ill people in the States. They get a percentage on their policy to spend while they are still alive, I get maximum returns especially if he dies quickly. Consultant gets a yearly fee so never loses out. I told him it was the most immoral thing I had ever heard of. He couldn’t see my point.
