I thought I’d share some of my photos from Saturday at Ascot. Now I’m by no means David Bailey, so apologies for the quality of some of them! I'll split the photos across a few posts, otherwise it might get a bit much! I must add at this point that the site is cropping the photos as I post them - hence why some horses appear to have their heads/behinds chopped off!

I've realised, they're not cropped - there is a slide bar at the bottom of the most recent post that you need to move to see the photos in full!

Very nice Hope you had a good day - I had a good day watching it on the tube, and my money disappear faster than Frankel! I managed to put two fancied horses into last place by quite a distance - no easy feat I hasten to add. I'd be interested to know what happened to Ferdoos and Dubai Prince, as both should have been better than a last place finish
Not photos of the race itself, or the parade in front of the stands - I, and half the crowd, was hotfooting it back to the parade ring for the hero's return! Brilliant fotos Princess many thanks for posting. I really like Sir Henry in that last one with Buster Bloodvessel chasing him with a microphone Just out of academic interest - would you have a photo of the famous "steps" where chavs and toffs bustle up and down incessantly barging into each other?
Yes, it was a very good day. As I said on the Frankel thread, I have never seen a horse clapped into and out of the paddock before a race; I have never heard a roar as deafening as when Frankel hit the front, and I have never seen people run through a racecourse just to get to the winners enclosure and great a horse home. One of those days, along with his Guineas win, to say "I was there!"
OddDog, sadly not, but as I managed to navigate them in my 4 inch stilletos without a problem, I don't know what the others are moaning about
Probably also had something to do with the fact that you hadn't swilled a gallon of lager before the first race
Some really good pics here... And how good dos the sky look for mid october, let alone the shine on the hores's coats...!!! Im quiet envious now ive seen these... Well done PN, hope you remember the day for a long, long time to come...
Thanks all. Found a few more: Sir Henry & Lady Jane head off to saddle Frankel and Bullet Train please log in to view this image You can see the mass of people that packed around the paddock and stood on the balcony's trying to get a view - and of course Brough Scott. please log in to view this image
Great photos and commentary Princess. Thanks a lot. You are clearly well organised. Hope you had a great day; well I'm sure you did. Must have been great to see Frankel in the flesh and experience the atmosphere.
Great to see the photos PN. From the TV pictures (watched the day after) Frankel looked very chilled before the race.
