To be fair it's all allegations and there is a child or children involved and the law is more about protecting them.

Errrrrmmm the accused was arrested on suspicion of the crime therefore there has to be a victim involved and the victims protection is what is key.

Given they clearly identified a shortlist of one possible person the identity of the child may well be at risk.

While it's a big story and "we all have to know" the issue is that the victim often gets forgotten

    Teams for Day 1:

    City:

    ederson
    Walker Stones Dias Zinchenko
    Gundogan Rodri KDB
Mahrez/torres Jesus sterling/foden (depends on your point of view.)

big squad, lots of depth in each line but we can see KdB aging and a big gap centrally up front.

    Utd:

    De Gea
    AWB Varane Maguire Shaw
    Fred Mctominay
    Sancho Fernandes Rashford/martial
Cavani (or some such variation using 433.

Massive investment in the squad. massive squad, far too big actually and need to sell off dead wood but not a big issue to them. just need to find thier actuall best 11 then knacker them all season (agent ole)

    Chelsea:

    Mendy
    Azpi Silva Rudgier
    James Kante Jorginho Chillwell
    Havertz Werner mount

another massively big squad seekign to shed players and buy yet more forwards. CL winners and under tuchel the form team for most of his tenure.

    Liverpool:

    Alisson
    Trent Konate VVD Robertson
    Henderson fabinho Thiago
    Salah Firmino Mane

Team picks itself. squad has numbers but nowhere near the quality of the others, one and two players per line rather than 2 per position of real quality.

At this point this looks like a serious battle over the season with LFC needing to focus solely on league and CL and the others going for all 4 competitions.

If I'm looking at this i think city's odds are too short for me. I am not so far that impressed in what they have on offer, a lot of good players but its all about kdb and foden. They will and did miss aguero last season.

Cheslea should imo be favourites under tuchel with utd running them close and we need a repeast of 2019/20 season start. We need to find the goals to win games and thats jota coming in for me.

Can see Coty starting Torres up front. Played there few times last season and did well, went under the radar a bit but scored quite a few goals for first season

yeah, there's certainly a player there. best spanish player of the euros. Theres a competition there between two which is good for city and likewise on the left.

It might be sill to say but city did just enough last year, defensively sound, sly in transition and score enough without being at their best.

KDB has a lot of miles on the clock and quite a list of injuries as well. he's turned 30 so its a big big season for him. IMO take him out of city and they become just a good side. they need to buy imo.

Although he's not the only one who needs to up his game, Firmino's form is crucial, imo. Although the demolition of our defence upset the balance of the team last season, the attack could and should have done better. Firmino has made things happen up front for several years, and his loss of form last season was a big part of our failure to create and convert enough chances.
He'll be 30 soon, but his game doesn't require pace so there's no reason he can't go on for another 3 or 4 years. If he regains form, great - but if he doesn't then we need to change tack. Nobody else does what he does (did) as well so a re-think will be required.
I hope we don't persevere for too long with the same approach if it isn't working.

I think fans in will make a massive difference. I don't know about other clubs but we definitely missed them. You can't on the one hand say they are twelfth man then on the other dismiss their importance to how the team performs. The poor spell of home performances last season bears this out.

yeah, i have to think you are right. If we look at say wolves game at anfield. 2k in and we were great all game. West brom we scored early but the crowd was actually poor, quiet and not very enthused. Then on the final day we play palace and win easily.

one common denominator in the games was manes performances.

conversely we were hammered by fulahm for the first half when they had a crowd in as well. we managed to scrape the draw.

IMO theres been a very easy ride for some team away from home last season and that should change.

hopefully We will improve a lot. nothing is assured but we have a chance to put that really dire relegation form period behind us firmly. the first 14 and last 10 games secured us 3rd. the middle games were good enough for 20th.

Hopefully the form will be even better than those first 14 games. (wasn't ever good enough for a title race imo)
