mmm when is the World going to wake up? China has destroyed all the paperwork and anyone who was a whistleblower has either died or disappeared. We are standing around letting them get away with this. Embarrassing and it will come back to haunt us.

Well, while you’re about just a quick thanks. Your openness about your bowel cancer screening results on this thread motivated me to actually return the sample when I got my 60th birthday present screening kit. There would have been a good chance that, having no symptoms or discomfort I would have ignored it without your example. Got the all clear within 5 working days. I would encourage all other gentlemen and ladies of a certain age (apparently the age is being lowered to 56 for the first test this year) to take this seriously. There is a 98% chance that you will have nothing at all, and for the other 2% a very good chance that early identification of a potential problem will get it sorted quickly.

    So cheers Strolls.

I will second this ...simple test...not invasive (but a little yucky)...and can save your life.

Screening for cancer is a life saver

    Thanks Strolls and Stan

Everybody should definitely take part in the screening as soon as they get the chance. I feet extremely fortunate to have had the cancer identified early and to have had it removed as quickly as it was - just what the screening process is for. It almost certainly saved my life.

They start doing them in Aus at 50. Took the plunge this year and went for a colonoscopy for a bit more surety. Worth it. Found something v small and removed. Now booked for 3 years out. Less fuss than the manual method.

UK government buoyed by data showing fall in Covid infections.
Could this be anything to do with the school holidays and kids not testing.

    An update on my Son.....

Thankfully, he's much, much better. The improvement began as soon as he started new antibiotics. It was gradual to start with, but the last few days have seen a rapid improvement.
He even went for a short run today!!
It's a huge relief. Obviously, we don't know if there will be any long term effects, but fingers crossed there won't.
Despite all the reassuring stats, he had us worried for a while.

Thanks to everyone (obviously the muppet on the great reset thread couldn't) for their good wishes and for those who sent private messages.
    Much appreciated.

So am I right in thinking Amoxicillin is what they tried first ? I thought as much if true. Seems to be the get-go for many GPs

Get him on ferratin tablets (iron) ASAP, this'll help ward off some of the long-covid symptoms. My missus ferratin was in her boots when they checked her. Also, turmeric tablets are supposed to help

Not after a week of them breaking up. Normal average is between 7-10 days.

Get a grip Ellers. We are not testing school kids and staff on a daily basis, like we were 10 days ago.

We are doing far less tests ..so we are getting far less positives.

Donald Trump was so right when he said...stop doing the tests, then we won't get so many positives..

If we didn't do these silly tests then within a week we would be Covid free.....
