I actually find this kind of thing sad and wrong. A young Geordie kid, son a club legend, grows up playing for his heroes and is on cusp of first team and gets enticed away. Pretty sad

 

This system like the loan system is all wrong, engineered by people at the top who have no concept of being a football supporter, and no understanding of anything other than making money, they will, if allowed, kill the game as we know it.

 

Sadly nobody has the balls to even try to stop them.

Seriously though we suffer from first teams position. If we go up and are 1 promotion from premier league it'll be easier to keep players, especially if they see actual pathway Into the first team

Hopefully altho likely still loose a few is to set youth structure up as a club to make sure kids develop into first team players & go as far as they can in the game like KLD is trying, will take time but until our academy is see as the place to be we wont stop kids going....just hopefully slow down the rate as SD as good as made our acedemy worthless.

If we reach the stage KLD is planning / indicating maybe we start to take other clubs top talent
