See I knew this was the issue. Its not age at all, its the thought of an ugly fat man shagging a young girl. The old woman shagging a young boy is not as important, despite identical mindsets from the young person.

If the 17 year old girl wants it and there's no coercing or whatever, for me thats morally acceptable.

I try to remember that none of this was in isolation. There's a wider context to it all. Epstein and Maxwell were exploiting dozens, probably hundreds of girls, inside Epstein and Maxwell's various homes... where Andrew was a frequent resident guest. Epstein was convicted of soliciting for prostitution a minor (aged 14). He was a convicted sex offender. The idea that Andrew didn't know this or what was going on, or claiming he never met this girl, is completely for the birds. Under those circumstances, plus the fact he's lying, shows this is more about exploitation than consenting adults. And if it's not, then why not go and face the FBI?

On the second point about her being given 10k, I honestly have no knowledge of this, but how is that any different to a few of the convicted Rotherham blokes who plied girls with clothes and jewellery, who happened to be over 16? Should they be let off because those gifts were enough to 'drop their knickers'? I'd consider it grooming and exploitation. There needs to be a better understanding of what 'vulnerable young person" means especially for a girl in her teens.

I'm not disagreeing on the basis of age difference btw, like I said earlier if it's consensual and without strings attached or coercion or grooming of any kind then I couldn't care less who's shagging who. If that's all there was to it, then why didn't Andrew just take that line? Because he himself knows the wider context and at best he was happy to turn a blind eye to it, and at worst he was a part of it.
