So the Liar wants to let 18+ get their jabs before bringing in the vaccine passport for night clubs in september. Until then, no restrictions, crack on, spread the virus. I honestly think these lot are intent on infecting as many people as possible, as quickly as possible. What a set of clowns.

Photo: Emil Helms/Ritzau Scanpix Only people who have received at least the first dose of a coronavirus vaccination will be permitted to use public transport in Greenland from midnight on Monday. Greenland’s prime minister Múte B. Egede confirmed the decision on Monday afternoon according to local media Sermitsiaq.AG. The autonomous territory currently has 29 confirmed active cases of Covid-19, the highest number since the beginning of the pandemic. “We must all take shared responsibility and show great caution since we do not yet know whether it is the Delta variant, which spreads a lot faster than the earlier Covid-19 variants,” Egede said at a briefing on Monday. Passengers travelling to their home towns will be exempt from the vaccination requirement, however. The new rule is initially in place until the end of July. Although vaccination will now be required on public transport in Greenland, passengers will not be asked to show a vaccine passport or other form of documentation. That is because authorities say they trust the public to follow the rule. In addition to public transport, unvaccinated people will not be allowed to use cafes, restaurants or sports facilities under the new restriction. Taxis are exempted from the rule. Sermitsiaq.AG reports that 18,915 of Greenland’s population of around 56,000 are fully vaccinated, while 32,724 have received at least one dose of a vaccine. A public assembly limit of 20 people will meanwhile remain in place in Greenland until the end of July.
I think allowing the virus to spread quickly amongst young people is definitely part of the calculation.
What other explanation is there?!? It lacks any ounce of common sense. Where will the covid passports stop, healthcare, supermarkets?????
If you want to attend a sporting event at a stadium with a capacity of more than 20,000 you will probably have to prove double vaccination by September, apparently. So, our failure to build a 45,000 seater at Old Oak was in fact a master stroke of forward thinking, as any and all plague carriers can come to sub 20k KPF Stadium. Unless the club decide to ask for covid passports I suppose. Hope they do.
No Covid passes or passports this Saturday. Just advice to wear a mask when in stadium... nothing else.
Just seen this. Really sorry to hear this, Col. I remember meeting your son, a great lad. He's at Southampton Uni I believe (my alma mater). Hope he makes fast progress. It just shows, when you hear people say that youngsters aren't affected by this bloody virus, they need to think again. Keep us posted if you can.
Col, Wishing your son a speedy recovery and no long-term ill effects. For all the sceptics out there, in the last couple of weeks I have been pinged and spoken to two people who have caught it recently and certainly felt it's force even though they both recovered within a few days without the need for hospitalisation. And I live in a village/small town which has only had, supposedly, a handful of cases.
Apart from spreading Covid to each other, with the crowd so close to the players and especially the many subs at pre-season games, at our ground, there must be a big risk of it infecting the players. Perhaps seating close to the pitch and the benches will be cordoned off?

Some of the news out today said something like 91% of people have antibodies so hopefully it may not be as bad as we think… saying that 96 deaths yesterday was once again an eye opener.
Really sorry to hear this Col. Please pass on my regards for a speedy recovery. I have met him and he a fine young lad. Best of luck in getting him better a.s.a.p.
Australia and New Zealand have both withdrawn from the Rugby League World Cup, scheduled to be held in England later this year, due to Covid safety concerns.
Interesting comments I heard today. Do we remember when everyone praised Australia for locking their borders. Well apparently they now keep having lockdowns, closed state borders, cases creeping in and the least amount of vaccines administered. This is not a knock at good old Oz, rather thinking how comparisons don’t always show the true picture.
