The team is a work in progress. They'll know who they want and if the players involved are from a higher league, they'll probably need convincing to drop down since the club's reputation will have taken a hell of a hit since we were relegated. It might not take just this window to put it right but we've got to be patient that it will be put right

quite surprised there has been little said about evans...(mind i have not been on any other sites) knowing the mind set of some i was half expecting some kind of 'did not take on an entire team and score a hat trick so no good for us' remark, the fact is he is not the type of player to be making headlines but he will (hopefully) do his job a little like m'vila and despite playing catch up seems to be doing just that.

Very neat and tidy imo. Looks a definite upgrade on Scowen and Power.

them two had a decent enough work rate but no real end product, often racing upfield for no real reason, evans i think is more 'protective', noticed him dropping back a couple of times when one of the defenders went forward, realises when he can/cant move upfield.

Yes, more of a defined role in the team rather than trying to be a jack of all trades.

A pre season friendly is about getting minutes into people’s legs, plus looking at younger players and trialists.

The result, team & performance are completely irrelevant.

Seeing people criticising results and performances in a pre season game against York, is about as ridiculous as it gets.

They've all gone on my blocklist on each medium. Its nothing against them personally and if we met I'm sure we'd get on just fine. I just can't be dealing with constant pessimism on social media when I already suffer quite badly from anxiety and frankly I use football and the internet as a distraction from real life.

A lot of people use football as a distraction from real life anxieties. And then football has become such a depressing and anxious place to be. Its no wonder that suicide is so prevalent in men of my age, frankly.

Thanks for sharing marra and big apologies if I've had a go at you in the past, I've probably picked up on your anxiety and fired back - I recall the underwhelmed comment during takeover. This probably highlights the problems of a forum where different situations and feelings lead to disagreement which wouldn't occur if face to face. Like you say about pablo/Wolfy he may be an okay guy.

Hope you manage your situation well marra and don't rely on the Lad's to deliver just yet.

Thanks mate - not a problem at all. I don't remember anything that upset me. I'm up for debate and I'm up for being disagreed with. And if I say something people don't agree with I expect to be told I'm talking ****e. I don't mind that. What I don't like is when people just force negativity on others, or find a way to spin EVERY situation into a negative. No time for that
