I'd be happy with that. He had a great record when working with Ralph and has always struck me as a better Redmond; much more direct and with some confidence to boot. Just don't let him take any pens!!
Surely the only way Chelsea sign Kane from Spurs is if they give another club the money buy him for them and then he get’s immediately loaned or sold to them I just don’t see Levy selling him to Chelsea
He's probably an upgrade on Redmond and Djenepo, but we'd need to sell one of them for this to happen wouldn't we? Not sure we'll sign a winger though. I can see us having Tella, Armstrong as first choice wide players, with Walcott and another as backup.
I get the feeling with the Armstrong deal that we either get him very late in the window or another team who aren’t completely skint just come in and slap £15m or whatever on the table and he goes there.
This is what i think too, Sees he is now the indisputed FB on his naturual side. Soo would give him greater encouragement.
Having a talented player only two years older but better than you ahead of you in encouraging? I appreciate the theory behind them giving him a chance in the first place. But that is by no means a given just because another youngster was If he is a wing back then Brighton might be a good move. If he is more of a standard full back then they don’t really play that way when everyone is fit Does he get in as second choice over Veltman (a Dutch international) if Lamptey is injured? I don’t think he is even guaranteed to get on their bench often as their other defenders are versatile Perhaps the choice might be simple logistics? Easier travel to training? edit : transfermarkt says his primary position is right midfield and secondary is right back. Pointing to being a wing back at best. And so Brighton does make sense So not really “exactly what we need” (which I believe was a quote on here or the other forum about him)
First of all that's come from The Sun. Secondly, Blackburn are deluded if they think they're getting 20mill for him. Just got to be patient.
