Does that mean you don't want the Man Utd - Newcastle tickets for Sep 14th, you won in the Euro's Prediction league then?
After a long night.... The statement given doesn't say that both parties were at fault or even accepted the decision. MG's tweet can be interpreted that the PL are playing games or it could be NUFC playing the game. NUFC submitted evidence a long time ago whereas the PL only recently submitted it so whose evidence is most likely to be off? NUFC have been banging on about transparency of the arbitration ever since the chair person was found out to having worked for the PL. Claim point no2 on the CAT test pretty much asks for a takeover to be given. Will CAT case now play out first? Is this the power play that forces a settlement out of court?
AS wanted the fans to protest on Friday probably knowing it would get minimal coverage. On Monday all the press are now talking about the arbitration including some supportive of the fans
What if NUFC has caused the delay because they want the CAT case to happen first? Everything will be made public in CAT preventing any manipulation of the arbitration process. Perhaps the six month delay relates to the expected timescale for CAT?
Nick demarco... "Despite appearances I can tell you I rarely encourage my clients to go to court or arbitration. "I usually tell them it's very risky, it's very costly, it takes a lot of time, however strong you think your case is things can go wrong and if there is a way of dealing with it commercially or by a deal with the regulator in some way - which there can be before charges are brought - you should explore that.
Notice the complete lack of vitriol in the club statement? Previously, they have complained about delays.
Also you can be sure bird and bird know that too. They know they could easily lose in arbitration, so at some point a deal becomes likely and I'd say that's very soon if CAT is made public. If the premier league suceed in getting it thrown out or they win in their attempt to have it played out privately then it'll go to arbitration I feel. Just my take as it has been for months.
I don't think it was the plan for either party, but I believe something happened and it's a big deal Both parties potentially show all their cards and they both start thinking let's just digress? CAT could be the straw that breaks masters back or vice versa Time for a deal to get done
my understanding of CAT was that it is not a quick process (even when “fast tracked”). The arbitration has been delayed 6 months to resolve disclosure issues. This disclosure is for a single legal point regarding separation. The CAT case is far wider on whether the rules of ownership are anti competitive and whether the rules have been applied without bias. I simply cannot see how the CAT case will run quickly against a legal teams that appears to specialise is delays. I’m trying to apply logic without any real knowledge of the actual process so I could easily be wrong. But I would not be surprised if the CAT case ran for a very long time. When a decision is one where the outcome can be jail time or 10% of global revenues they will not make a decision on a wim.
Yes I've been banging on about it for months. Everyone needs to chill.. It's not over and in fact all we actually do know is that it's been delayed. I will hold my position as I have for months and months that arbitration will never take place.
So why then have they publicly stated a delay till 2022? Why not just say delay. No timeframe. What’s with MG Twitter post about a party playing games? You honestly think Ashley is happy to wait given he publicly stated he wanted it done in July. I may be wrong but wrong but it says it will be (ARB) resolved in 2022. It doesn’t say when. I can’t cling onto to blind faith. It’s not happened. There has been no statements from AS or PIF yet so I will wait for that. There is no guarantees.
