Go on please convince me he deserves to be employed as manager of NUFC. hopefully this will be a short ****ing thread. #bruceout
The bloke's a f@cking imbecile, we finished last season well in spite of him not because of him. I'm convinced if we hadn't had the injection of coaching nous from Jones we would have gone down.
Imagine your ASM. Playing against York City. The rumour is Rafa wants you at Everton. You can double maybe even treble your wages. Get into the top 7 maybe. You look over your the bench because your sick of clogball. You see Bruce with his pork pie. You turn to the left and you see Joelinton from 3 yards out miss an open goal. You turn to the right and see Gayle. You look up to the sky and scream “when does this end”!
In his last year of contract now isn't he. So good chance he will. I thought Jones would be the one to takeover, but now he's left I'm not so sure.
There is no way Bruce will be sacked any time soon unless either the takeover goes through or we are deep in the relegation zone at Christmas and the takeover is still on the cards. Ashley just doesn't sack managers unless they are going to cost him serious money. Also the Bruce and Jones combination were the best performing managerial pair of the fourth day of the 5th month of the 2020-21 season apparently. Think the only way we will see him go anytime soon is if he chokes on his bacon sandwich.
Anyway its good that you are so confident we won't be deep in the relegation zone by Christmas - I wish I had your faith.
I won't be bothered by then, but, 40 days and counting (or less if the takeover stuff is, as expected, dead). However, whether I'm there or not I have this really weird feeling Newcastle will have a decent season.
I think Newcastle will have a dreadful season. But, everyone around us will be worse. Saints and Palace are my main suspects. Norwich will go down too
Bruce has finished 13th and 12th there's no grounds to sack him. No takeover and you might aswel just accept it. The club brought in Jones when he was close to being sacked and what the club chose to do proved to be very successful and there's no getting away from it. Charnley got something spot on.
There's no point really. Id only really hammer it home like i was last season if I truly thought we would get someone interesting.
