Players getting racially abused for missing penalties just sums up this ****ing rat pit of a country.
Youre two posts are bang on. Its pathetic that a country as mad on football as England have only won one major trophy and have to wait circa 50 years per final. Brits are far too weak on players, proper charge the guns and ask no questions types If three Italians missed those pens theyd rip them to bits, Spain, France and Germany are the same. Theyre successful. England bottled it. I suspect every single Home nation would have bottled it. Our players are pussyholes
The real person to blame is... Phil Foden has warned his teammates they must keep their promise to dye their hair if England win the Euros. Manchester City star Foden bleached his hair blonde before the start of the tournament and claimed the rest of the squad agreed to follow suit if they ended going all the way. Those 3 lads missed on purpose.
It’s like when we are winning we are all that and peeps start shoving it up the Germans arseholes but when we lose…it’s like the same people start to act like we were San Marino all along and we did well to get this far anyway. That penalty shootout was poor as **** from our point of view and it’s weak to always put it down to a ‘lottery’.
Chiesa for me, closely followed by Shaw who has been great at times but went a bit quiet yesterday after his brilliant goal.
It's fair to say that all the home nations did well. For England, coming second is about right. For Wales they can hold their heads up high despite only winning one game and getting trashed by the two good teams they played. For Scotland they got to turn up to a tournament and celebrate the 0-0 win over England and then lots of other teams as they played England. Happy days all around.
Chiesa didn't get enough minutes to win player of the tournament for me. I've said for a while and I'm still sticking with my selection.... Jordan Pickford.
They dont even think about that player of the tourney thing Kind of trophy you try and sell to pay off the Mob only to find out no one is buying
Apart from the Germany game I don't remember Pickford having that much to do. My memories of him from the last few weeks will just be having tantrums directed at Maguire and kicking the ball straight out of play or straight to the other keeper 3 or 4 times every match.
Considering the sheer drama Wales had with the manager, it was a success. Still better than Scotland, who may I remind you... Are ****e.
Still gutted. Massive opportunity to bury our penalty hoodoo and we made a proper hash of it. I reckon the squad is in good shape for the WC next year though. Although I would like to see Southgate adopt a more attacking mentality when we've got the game by the scruff.
