Huge rush of ****ers getting off the England bandwagon again.

Kids, beware these tournament poodles and their fickle yapping.

Gutted. Gutted for the lads who missed a penalty, especially Saka. I echo the same sentiments as others; just leather the **** into a corner with no jittery run-up, like Maguire did. Frankly, I don't know why the kids were first in the pecking order to take one. Trippier looked pissed off when he came off and after the shoot-out and was having words with Southgate.

Special mention to Jordan Pickford in saving that last penalty especially and also keeping us in it in extra time. Gutted for him as he had the hardest job out there..

Second-place is just first loser. To some, taking off their medal looks like arrogance but to me it just looks like disappointment at failure and a desire to be better and win. Why would a team of players who've won Premier Leagues, Champions Leagues, FA Cups, La Ligas etc. be proud of second-place?

Italy were the best team in the tournament. We were probably second best.
We've progressed with a young team, it's all a steep learning curve. Will stand them in good stead for the future,

    well im glad we lost
i couldnt stand all the bigging up of players who couldnt hold a candle to the team from 90 and 96 and 98 if gazza had been picked by looney hoddle.
we lucked our way to the final and polayed ****
we deserved to be beaten by a mediocre side
    we didnt go for it
    bottled it
our plan of bringing on our starlets on the hour mark went out of the window when we scored early on
we should have gone for it
    we didnt
it was like watching city v man city in the prem
    we played ****

if we had gone for it i am 100% positive we would have won handsomely

how many times did we expose their slowness in defence?

    just stop saying yeah but

and say **** this lets go for it

another limp wroisted england performance when it mattered

    when are we gonna learn?

a second or even a third goal against the shellshocked wops would have ended it and cue the ole's a la denmark

like i said before im not bothered. i would sooner see us go for it and lose. and if we play like that i am happy for us to lose. i want us to lose.
i am happy for karma to have its way regardless of who is involved.
all the ****e going on in the world i just want the correct outcome in my mind and **** all the false ****e

but if it was city it would be totally different......

I don’t understand why we approached the second half with what seemed like defending a 1 goal lead. Then when they’d had both centre halves booked why we didn’t target them more. A lost opportunity. Feel for the young lads who stepped up and didn’t convert their penalties.

Penalties are a terrible way to lose a final.

We will be definitely if the upward curve continues.. semi last World Cup then beaten finalist this time. Keep the faith and look forward to the next time. A club mentality has been created and can only grow stronger. Have we ever known more optimistic times for our national team since 66? I very much doubt it.

I said the same, two who had hardly played in the tournament and then a 19 year old for the crucial 5th.
Presumably they were the best in training.

    Roy Keane said it right
You can’t have that if you’re Sterling and grealish they’re senior players they should be pushing themself forward to the manager

This isn't the Olympics. Silver medals count for **** all in tournament football ffs. Show respect to who exactly? UEFA, who made them? I couldn't be more proud of England for making the final but I don't begrudge the players for taking off a second-place medal.

My prediction made in July 1966 that we wouldn't win another tournament until there was a Hull City player in the team still holds true.

Stuart Pearson managed pretty well taking two steps and stroking it home.
