I'm back to argue my points.. Running away will only weaken any resistance to the lack of morals in our national side and its fanbase in general.
You have now lost your place as the keeper of the countries moral compass You have gone down in my estimation and I would love it , love it , if we beat the itai’s with a dodgy pen
https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www....t-the-latest-covid-variant-flagged-by-the-who **** me and I thought they were just an old rock band interesting though the Kent or English variant name was used forever, but as soon as an Indian variant is found they start using Greek letters
Cheated? the penalty? Denmark's free kick should not have stood, the rules state that "when a defending team has 3 or more players in a wall, attacking players must stay a minimum of 1 meter from the wall until the ball is in play" the ball is not in play until its kicked/moved by the taker, so when the Danish players moved across towards the wall, they got within that distance that meant the freekick should have been reversed to a England free kick. But its all technicalities. Seen worse ref-ing decisions, and stronger penalties not given
My country died along time ago along with values unfortunately, but not everyone has turned in to a South American
Well, if you expect England to follow the rules to the letter while every other f**ker does what they want to get an advantage, i think your a bit mad. We were not the first and wont be the last to go down easy or hold a shirt or take a throw in 20 yards further up the pitch than where it went out, it was a silly soft penalty i agree, but if the rules had been followed by the ref in the Danish goal we prob wouldn't have needed extra time
Then call me mad. If we're going to spend decades crying about 86 then we should stand by our values today or face being hypocrites forever. There were two balls on the pitch when sterling ran into the box and dived btw and the game should have been stopped. We can all look for excuses to support sterling diving, but the reality is he cheated and I don't want us to win that way. You can all drink it in, but nobody is going to convince me I don't feel the way I do about it.. I can't convince you lot either
It is what it is, same as Maradona, same as Ronaldo and Beckham. They took the chance to take advantage and the system (ref and VAR) failed the game. I wont try to convince anyone of anything, ill happily debate and share veiws, i dont expect to have anything shoved down my throat the same way i wont do it to others
Haven't we all rammed it down our own throats since 86? I don't accept any of it... Zero and I think that's fair I'm off for my vacation now anyway mate
I've not rammed it down my own throat, I've unfortunately come to accept that all footballers cheat, and when it happens it truly doesn't surprise me. Enjoy your vacation buddy, hope the weather stays good for ya, and its the best it can be.
Probably. Somewhere down the line, those involved in the takeover, in order to keep power and make their money would have cheated somebody.
My boss knows some Ukrainian hookers who are based in Sisli. Sisli is now full of Arabs these days. Maybe you'll find someone in need of a UK visa and you can come to some arrangement. When are you coming? So I know when to book my holidays.
I understand what you mean. I put the following on the SAFC page...... 'He wasnt taken out. He may have felt a slight touch (im not even convinced his leg was touched), and he dived. Just because there is contact, still doesnt mean its a penalty as far as I'm concerned. If thats a penalty then we might as well just all go home. Fortunately non of the camera angles, the ones we at home seen anyway, showed any conclusive proof. If the penalty had not been given and it went to VAR, it still wouldnt have been given.' 'But its a contact sport. Just because you are touched it doesnt mean its a foul for me. I noticed a number of times Sterling outside the area, darting with the ball at his feet, got knocked and bumped, and still trying his hardest to stay on his feet, couldnt knock him over or get the ball off him. As soon as its in the penalty area hes down. Not convinced he was even touched on the leg by the first defender, the second defender may have bumped him, not sure, but he was already on his way down by then. But just because hes touched, doesnt mean he didnt dive. The majority of dives there is contact, but a dive is still a dive. Players like Sterling are always looking for that touch by the defender, always looking for a penalty as soon as they enter the box. Thats not a dig at his character, more a compliment to his trickery. I understand that any touch he receives he'll be already primed to go down. It looked a penalty in real time but once the penalty is given I'd have had no problem VAR overturning it. It is for these type of instances that VAR was brought in. But even after VAR opinion can still be divided. Basically, I have no problem Sterling going down, its wrong, but its the current climate, 30-40 years ago a player wouldnt have dived, but if they did the penalty probably wouldnt have been given. Today they do, and it's the norm for it to be given. Just feel, personally, it should have been overturned, but understand why it wasnt, it wasnt conclusive. I'm old school really, for a penalty to be given, you need to be chopped down or wiped out. Oh, the good old days! ' The line between cheating and fair play has been so blurred and grey for so long now that sportsmanship is a thing of the distant past. Those who are defending Sterling are basically climatised to current football etiquette. 30 years ago the same people would have agreed with your sentiments. You're a dying breed.
