Some snowflake would be saying we are xenophobic if the shoe was on the other foot. Most of them just don’t get our self deprecation and tongue in cheek bigging ourselves up. I’m going to just put any debate about the penalty behind me. We see those given and not given in the Prem. If the Final is free of controversy then that will be welcome. I didn’t want Denmark to be in the Final at England’s expense, just because one of their players had a heart attack doesn’t mean they have a right to a fairy tale. Even if the penalty was soft in hindsight, it was VAR’d and the decision confirmed. I screamed “pelanty” at the telly when it happened, and the ref was of the same view. It’s done. I don’t expect Italy to win by any less than 2 clear goals as their speed and enthusiasm is going to undo England’s patient efficiency - they have an instinctive flair and play some beautiful football very quickly. We saw England’s defence have a couple of shaky moments last night and that’s going to be brought in to sharp focus by a razor sharp swift footed attacking team with football art in its veins. Italy to win. England to score 1 maybe 2 if lucky
Indeed it’s not good. As I say every team does it. Denmark were taking part in the dark arts last night. Spain are ridiculous. Italy have obviously done this for many many years. I could go on and on. Welcome to football in 2021. It’s why I loved the refs in this tournament - telling soft cocks to get up. It was a start but changing football across all nations could be a long process and I don’t think it has the support. South American’s and Latin sides don’t understand why we can’t just accept it. Yeah other sides always respect national anthems. Ours is never booed abroad… Other teams don’t celebrate when they reach the tournament or nevermind the final. Other teams don’t cheat. I agree we've been shafted but I never wanted to shaft some young kids elsewhere watching their side like I was at the time. I want us to keep our values on this. Luck and cheating are not the same
They are not, cheating us bad. It’s inconclusive to me, but there was contact and modern players are taught to go down. Why? Mainly because of the proliferation of this sentiment over time across the world. The Latin sides have a lot to answer for. It is taught there and has been all the way back to the beginning. Then you have the officiating. Look at Bamford. Punished for staying on his feet and said to the ref “so I should go down and dive?” It’s fine having morals but you’ve got to stay realistic too. If every single side is diving (including the Danes) do you just keep giving them an advantage?

Understandable it’s not as good as it should be. Humans mate. We are ruthless in all walks of life. Look at how Covid has been abused to turn it monetary. Humans only have a moral compass until money, success or status is waved under our nose.

Mate I don't care who it is I'm really a rare breed in that sense. I usually argue against soft pens we get on here.. I absolutely hate cheating and the higher the level the worse it is I'm genuinely disgusted at this England side. We cheated to reach the first final in 55 years and its ruined it.
