What I really can’t fathom is playing 343 for three years straight, then we rock up here and suddenly change it to a back four. Nobody can tell me maguire is integral to a back three, he doesn’t play like that for his club. It’s mental.
I was saying the same to someone all week mate. Hodgson did the same and tbh I believe England managers are instructed who to pick in some cases.. I think the big clubs simply have to have their big money players in the squad or something. I could be way off but It makes zero sense
Absolutely not. However money placed on any sporting event shift odds if significant. One guy placing £500 won't shift betting. Millions of people putting small bets on England because of some delusional thinking almost certainly does - hence England end up 9/2 second favourites even though the bookies know they aren't a 9/2 shot. As that link correctly identifies bookies are constantly calculating what they stand to lose. Its no different to horse racing in this regard. Its how you end up with value when a gamble goes wrong. A favourite may drift as a result of the sheer weight of money being dumped on a particular horse. I've seen exactly how 'pro' punters get round this monitoring. Some will say gamblers cheating the system is wrong, but bookies don't play fair so why would they.
And England go marching on. Already qualified as a best 3rd place. Footballs coming home! Good job we have already qualified as rumours around that we will be playing Henderson in midfield tonight. Could understand it if he was a De Bruyne who would bring much needed assists but he's just a workhorse who hasn't worked for a few months.

Both me and @Hung,Drawn and Quartered predicted they would win in the Prediction League. However HDQ's was a much braver pick as he picked them after the group games having seen us play.
