They won't and Sunderland will vote for them even more. Unfortunately newcastle isn't going to lose as many votes as it will if they intervene.
I said very early on that the tories don't care about a few hundred million going to newcastle.. They just don't give a **** about nufc or newcastle
Why should a government give a toss about a football club? So the NE vote labour more because of it, wont effect the outcome of an election right now, Tories have a bigger stranglehold nationwide than to be concerned about losing some councils in the north
That's why I said nufc and newcastle. There's a misplaced belief that they give a **** about investment up here. History tells you otherwise..
Yeah i was agreeing with you, getting involved with this would cost them more in the long term and set a standard in the future
I know mate. You're spot on.... There's more people don't want Saudis allowed in that the nufc fans that do, so they'll be looking after those votes They couldn't give a **** about investment up here unless they or some of their mates benefit from it financially.
The government only react when there is pressure. Take the ESL for example if it wasn’t for protesters by the fans they wouldn’t have bothered. The problem we have here is that we have too many supporters that don’t want to rock the boat and think because we are in the north east we should be happy with what we have. **** that we should have what we can fight for and as a group we should be able to fight for anything.
I'm not sure the government did anything about the ESL.. They made noises but Where's the new legislation?
The bigger problem is that the ESL outrage was unanimous whereas in this case the only affected party is Newcastle United. Other clubs and fans of other clubs can probably recognise the injustice in the way the PL is behaving, but they are understandably selfish about not caring. The last thing other 'non top six' clubs want is a financially strong club that can leapfrog them.
I really hope they lose arbitration because we'll end up with players diving around winning penalties and cheating
I don’t know if it’s new but she was very bullish and open. Confirmed everything openly. Said she isn’t party to the arbitration but made it clear they ain’t coming in to play games. It is gonna be massive for the club and City.
