Good thing about the tone set by the refs this tournament... 35 minutes into this match and we'd normally have seen 50 dives and pirouettes and 40 free kicks...

Yeah but this refs let's a few too many sly fouls go now. That midfield taking out of the Italian player was a clear pro foul and yellow. He's letting some flow but I think he's blowing for stuff from behind and avoiding giving decisions close to boes and avoiding yellows. Italy have come into it in the final 10mins. The 5 subs stuff might help Spain second half but I still feel Spain needed the lead here and should fade
Aye agreed... trying to let it go a bit too much... rather have it than the opposite though. Same problem as usual for Spain...all pretty until up top... although 2 really good chances... Still think Italy would put one of those away if they get it.
Have I fallen asleep and missed a day? All the talk about England, we must be playing tonight rather than Italy v Spain?
I have this feeling now this is headed for pens again. Italy lack that cutting edge and are nowhere near the level that blew belgium away. Spain are dangerous and largely in control so far but also lack a finish. Maybe the subs will changes this.
