Just watching Tiote's man of the match interview, with sweat streaming down his face....he's plays for Newcastle with the passion I would play with (if I ever was good enough)....absolute legend!

Him, Colo and Jonas were my choices for man of the match. We were very good.

Coloccini was in a word, immense. The man is a rock. Some of his passes today... fantastic, composure, interceptions and coolness. he was easily the best player on the pitch. I don't know how he isn't starting for Argentina.

A controversial statement follows... If we buy in a quality fast CB to play alongside him we would be rock solid

Jonas is still that unsung hero...Imagine the work he has to do to track back to help Raylor, and come up with the offensive threat he has and many times taking on multiple opponents?

Jonas MOM for me too. Tiote was immense as always though. It's a difficult one.

Dont know why people are slating Cabaye okay he wasn't at his best pass-wise, but I seen another side of his game, he put some important tackles in to disrupt Tottenhams play and win the ball back.

Agree with what you say, re: tackling and breaking up play. I think he did look subdued today, but I suspect that was mostly to do with playing twice for France during the International break.

I'm sure he'll be firing on all cylinders come Wigan this weekend.

Spot on "the situation" - Cabaye played a great defensive game today, he's not getting enough credit.

Tiote was a monster in the middle. If it wasn't for Jonas' great game he'd be my MOM

Cabaye has to play a less glamarous role against attacking sides, but he still does it well. It just doesn't attract the same plaudits as when he plays further forward like he did in the second half v Villa. He's brilliant going forward, but good enough to get stuck in further back. Invaluable.

Tiote was my motm, appreciate the shift Jonas puts in with helping Raylor out, but Tiote bossed the midfield.
