I'm not worried about any quality issues, the MHRA really are the class of the world in regulatory terms.

It is just a pain, because the EMEA don't work as well as the MHRA and they work as fast as molasses in winter - as we saw last December and January.

Still, I will be called for a covid booster and Flu jab come September.

Just checked, my first jab was one of the batch numbers from India, not got any imminent plans or desire to go abroad so all good. I'll be a tad angry if it stopped me getting into the footy though, but I'm still thankful that I've had both jabs.

At my caravan and Friday night get a call from track and trace (not on it).
So fooking bouncing that they have my number.
I have to now isolate for 10 days and came home today as couldn't drive back Friday as had a drink.
I know where it's come from.
Someone who has had both jabs but is tested as positive.
    Load of shìt.
    Sick of this bullshit now.
Fook off and kiss my arse.

Some snowflake is going to wind me up about this shìt one day soon and is going to struggle to breath.

I got the " self isolate for 10 days " alert from track and trace yesterday. Had both jabs, just this minute produced a negative test. Still got to do the isolation though. Absolutely mental this now like, come the 19th the whole country is going to be on the fcuking sick, not too fussed to be honest, fcuking xbox will take a beating in the next nine days.

Liberty, freedom comes when everyone has been vaccinated... anyone who does not get the jab.. should go into permanent isolation as far as I am concerned.

You lucky lot, here in Hua Hin in Thailand, I have an appointment fr the AZ vaccine for Wednesday 7th July. Unfortunately the people being vaccinated on the 5th and 6th are more than the 5000 vaccines they were given. No vaccine for me or my friends and no advice on when it could be. The only option is to book at a private hospital (and pay up front), for the Moderna vaccine which MIGHT be available after October. The challenge is that the government have not paid anything for them, they have only started negotiations. What a shower, couldn't run a bath never mind a country, unelected shoot the opposition, and jail anyone who disagrees,........LOS land of smiles!

I've just finished speaking to test and trace, apparently it's only law if they've sent you a text or rang you. I just got an alert saying I had to isolate as someone I'd had close contact with had tested positive. Apparently the alerts are just advice and no legal requirement. Would love to know who this person is, as apart from the wife, I've not been close to anyone. Anyhow, I'll do another test in a couple of days. I have no symptoms or anything, I actually only consider myself to be ill if the illness stops me from smoking tabs. <laugh>

Someone I know has the so called virus and has had both jabs :emoticon-0148-yes:
I could mention other circumstances but not on an open forum ;)

There are still no flu deaths to date and people dying of other illnesses but test positive for covid are still bumping the figures up.

Maybe when the flu reappears we should all wear masks and isolate ;)

Hasn't the flu deaths gone down because lockdown meant it was not transmitted?

Anyhow are the flu deaths per year say around 10,000 but covid death's around 100,000?

From what I can tell if you have been fully vaccinated you are unlikely to die/be seriously ill even from the delta variant although you may be infected?

    Flu is around 30,000,
Then there are the figures of none covid deaths that are logged as if tested positive within 28 days.

So flu isn't transmitted because of lockdown but covid is ? Ok.

Well, like what's been said, the rules are the rules and I'm staying in. (As much as rules and advice constantly change and contradict)
After all, those rules were set out by our honest and upstanding MP's. They told us how important it is to adhere to them etc.

    No wait :emoticon-0138-think :emoticon-0148-yes:

I've not said anything of the sort. Even people with both jabs can pick it up, in most cases it would be a lesser illness, some won't even get any symptoms, but if they carry the virus will still be infectious, regardless of whether or not they've been vaccinated.

The AZ vaccine that was manufactured in India is exactly the same as the one manufactured in the UK, except it was made in India, which doesn't meet with EU approval, because they are a bunch of pompous cnuts.

Weren't the rules set by the scientific advisors? Or at least based on their advice. It doesn't matter how incompetent the MPs are, the science remains the same.

The science hasn't remained the same though has it ?
    It's always changing advice.
But government set out the rules based on which advice they take.
They then convey to us how important these rules are.
    Then break them ;)

    Here's an example.
Experts asked for a lockdown during bird flu,
They argued it was going to be a global pandemic.
It turned out not to be.

Covid is another pandemic but They are fudging the figures.

The scientific fact that the virus is spread through human contact has stayed the same throughout. It doesn't take a genius to work out if you meet with other people you are increasing your risk of catching it. The fact that the only way out of this is through vaccination has stayed the same.
The fact that the lower the reproduction rate is in the community, the safer it is to meet has stayed the same throughout.

And what possible reason would they have for doing that?
