Fresh from conquering Rome in style we're now back at Wembley knowing we are two home wins from our first major trophy in 55 years. First up is Denmark who have improved as the tournament has gone on and who seem to be inspired after what happened to Eriksen in their first match. This will be a far tougher test than the Ukranians were but we should still be favourites to make our first European Championships final. Hopefully our experience in Russia can help see us through this one. Time for some history to be made - #westillbelieve And then one night in Rome... Last England semi at Wembley Last match there was pretty special too It is isn't it? Gareth Southgate, the whole of England is with you. We'll ****ing smash 'em
It's a whole new world of emotions these days. These strange things called confidence, contentment, pride. Give us a final, England. Curious to discover what emotions that would evoke.
We mustn't (and won't I'm sure) be complacent here. Yes they have been super motivated and inspired by Eriksen's recovery but they are also a very good and underrated team who are here on merit. They've played some great football in the tournament and will not be easy to beat. Having said that playing England at Wembley in front of 60,000 mostly English fans is just about as tough a fixture there is in international football. England are so strong at Wembley and we've got a big advantage.
Looking forward to this and really hopeful of England in a final after all these years Won’t be easy but we’ve got options and will have a strong bench det kommer hjem
It pains me to say it as a Saints fan, but I do think we as England can really target vestergaard here. Get Sancho/Saka running at him and he will really struggle to cope.
Beware the ill omens of those who say "Nonsense" when they fail to recognise the dreadful curse of commercial television sport.
Southampton city council have now got some big screens which could be available in the city for the semi finals. Guildhall square is one possible site. I've already booked a table in my local but I thought I'd share for you lot.
Mine was a quote from a Mr K Kegan, just after Owen equalised against Romania. Euro 2000 I believe. And Kegan was of course correct.
